I just pray that it doesn't get trimmed to hard. I assume they add trims after they do some test runs?

There would have been enough computer modelling done during the design phase to determine if trimming is required and where. The track would be designed and constructed with mountings for trim brakes long before now, so adding them after the coaster is tested and run is not the best way.

Where on the coaster is there mounting for trims ? (If there is any)

There's some mounting points on the entry climb of the stengel dive, haven't been able to spot any others in photos. At least then the first hill and loop should be unaffected whether they decide to mount trims or not.

Yeah that's fair enough, the dive loop will probably pull some intense gs.

Mounting points on camelback.

Trimming isn't always added because it is required.   Trimming connection points are sometimes added to give the park the option to add trim brakes therefore reducing maintenance cost.

Would trims be installed on a ride, not to be used under normal conditions, but to be used as a safety mechanism to slow a train down under a ride failure scenario?

Yeah that would involve a much more complicated system needing actuators, controls, etc and likely sections of box track to accommodate all that.

Trim brakes aren't always a simple maintenance measure. Particularly on a large-scale, custom layout coaster like this you'll find that the engineering errs on the side of caution when it comes to ensuring it makes it around the course. Obviously you can't speed it up later if it's too slow so you naturally design the ride towards the upper end of speed/force requirements. Considering variables like temperature, wind, rider weight and distribution, cycle times (how much time wheels/bearings have to cool down) etc., it's inevitable that they build wiggle-room into the design that allows them to slow it down if need be.

To mount brakes you need track that is perfectly straight. Vertical curvature is generally fine but you can't have any lateral movement for the fins on the track to pass cleanly through the slot on the carriages. So given that they designed the ride with sections of track with this straightness in mind, it makes sense that they're fabricated with the mounts to facilitate easy installation of trim brakes as needed.

The fact that these sections exist is definitely not an indication that trim brakes will feature.

You can be sure that the park will want to run this monster like a bat out of hell unless absolutely necessary to slow it.

I appreciate they're laying turf underneath this and making it super presentable.

And hey, if there's any leaves or debris on the grass there's so many rakes ready to go around the site...

Are the rakes back or are they still missing?

Where is the chain? Thought they had installed it.

Never mind I can see it now.

Usually coasters start testing 3-4~ weeks before launching so we should expect the first test run within 3 weeks from now
