Motorcoaster, tower of terror, shockwave always close when it rains due to their systems. And normally the tails spin, claw and wipeout will close in the heavier rain, and then everything else will close when it’s torrential rain.

Yes, however Gold Coast didn't face the brunt of the storm. Hence why they probably didn't close. They have to give park guests SOMETHING to do, right?

Hi guys, quick report from MW today, 25/2

Known downtime with invasion, Batwing and wild west, unfortunately add Superman to that list so far. Only midday, but it's been closed since the park opened.  Fingers crossed they'll get it going.

Oh, Alien Invasion. Don’t hear that name used much. 

Movie World doesn’t even refer to the ride as that now. Waa definitely a confusing name when the ride originally opened, everyone called it something different. Now, a part from the rides logo, it’s just Justice League 3D - The Ride.

Jetstreams removed from maintenance page however are still mentioned on the website.

Match 5 has been changed on the maintenance page to “until further notice”. 

Lazy river is now closed for more than 4 months. Along with River Rapids for 5 months.

Not a good year for WetNWild.

Jet Streams have been closed since about October last year, but only recently the whole tower closed. The shade sail has been removed from the tower too.

Lazy river is always closed for that long because of the quieter winter period, and the river rapids must just be getting a very thorough maintenance period.

Wouldn't say it a bad year, just general park maintenance that has to happen.

The shade sail is missing, and the whole Mach 5 tower remains closed

@Roachie dont think anyone really knows. The Jetstreams have been closed since about October, and about mid January, the Sidewinders closed too. Then about 2 weeks ago the shade sail was removed. But I havent seen any other work happen on it, and I drive past it nearly everyday.

Maybe they are having issues with the waterpumps (That's just a guess, I've got no idea)

Hopefully WWF down time won't be extended..... AGAIN.!

I hope so to, especially because of the Commonwealth Games. Surely there shouldn’t have any more reasons to keep pushing it back for the amount of testing they’ve been doing

Looks like we will be getting to ride the Wild West falls at movieworld soon water is filled once more and test dummies loaded should be running start of april🤞

@Rabbit2014 just so you are aware, the water was refilled at the start of the year and testing has been happening since then 

I was at movie world 2 weeks ago and no water at all, full of leaves and didn’t look like it was ever going to reopen but I guess it will after what’s it been 9 or 10 months. Will be great to have this family ride back

The western side of the Giant Drop has been in testing the last couple of days and is currently sitting at the top of the tower, so it seems that they have resolved the issue they were having with the cables.

The "Catch Car" at the top is been used as a platform to stand on whilst the works on the cables are undertaken.

Website says TOT is back open. This is early (has dreamworld gone crazy?).  

A friend told me today that ardient really does understand the fate of their theme park - as Dreamworld for whatever reason was playing the song “Dreamworld” by Midnight Oil throughout the park today... 

Obviously if it's open, the ride has been repaired, tested and deemed safe for the public.
I drove past today and it was operating with people on it so I'd say it's definitely been sorted and reopened.

Tot2 is also listed on ride express as being open now

 

Giant Drop has also reopened and is currently operating the western side.

According to the Movieworld webpage WWF is still rescheduled for Operation from this Saturday.  Here's hoping that date doesn't get pushed back again!

I did a quick visit to the park yge other  and could see staff being trained and testing, so I definitely think it will be reopening this Saturday
