Tower reopened later in the day. Was testing most of the day. Probably just refreshing the staffs memories on how to operate it.

Hopefully its operating a bit better now.

I went past WNW today and Surfrider was operating with riders. The website does still say closed for maintenance however

Actually 3 continuous days of operation is pretty close to a 2018 record. Baby steps...

I know little about these things, but I'd say if a ride needs that much maintenance, it may be a subtle sign that its time is at an end!

It was closed Saturday. So don’t know how true the people saying it opened were.

The Sidewinder has now also been removed from the WnW attraction listing and is no longer on the maintenance listing either. Looks like the entire Mach 5 tower is no more.

Someone sent me a message saying that Road Runner now has seatbelts as well as the lapbar restrains. Anyone been down recently that can confirm this? I thought DW were the only ones adding extra restrains.

So Pitt and Sherry are now working for MW too? Adding excess restrains to rides that have existed for years that don't match the restrains on any similar models?

Must say most roller coasters and pretty well every flat ride in the U.S have got seatbelts with a lap bar or over head harness. But then most Disney rides just have a seat belt and nothing else

They upped the height limit earlier this year too i think. Seems connected. Out of all rides, being adults riding with small kids, id take a guess and say they had issue with the single lap bar or were prompted by an audit as its not the only bizare safety related addition we have seen. 

You could have a 120kg burly man sitting with his 20kg 5 or 6 year old, sharing the same lapbar. Could probably stack 2 or 3 kids behind the bar, so maybe its a risk. We dont live in a world anymore where its expected adults take responsibility and monitor their kids, so you see more things pandering to the lowest common denominator everywhere you go.

RHLR broken down

hahahah, walk all the way round and its closed.

The water fountain at gd is now gone aswell.

Water fountain? As in a drink fountain \ bubbler? I don't really remember an actual fountain near GD...

Just rushed what I said because I posted at the park. The bubbler is completely gone now and yes it was having ‘issues’

When you say "it" are you referring to the drinking fountain or RHLR?

Judging from the boats in the course that look like they've been evacuated I'd say broken down.

I thought we didn't say 'broken down' anymore? isn't the preferred term 'ride stoppage' ?

We need to start a Parkz sweep on when DW will be put on the market.  In other news who can guess how many rides will be down during the busiest time of the year at DW?
