Since it  (combined with the Bawd Brothers show) is my favourite attraction at Dreamworld at the moment, that's really good to know!

DW are already showing some maintenance schedules for next year

The question is, why are they scheduling two rides for maintenance at one of the busiest times of the year. And why is the parks only water ride closed at one of the hottest times of the year. Hmmmmm

In saying that, I’m sure this will change a couple times between now and then

since the folded WWW to be a 'land' of dreamworld, i don't think one can technically class that as a true statement. Likewise they also have the flowrider. ;)

plenty of things for people to do to cool off, and if they haven't brought their swimwear, they can always buy extremely overpriced branded surfwear from the shop!

Why any rides are scheduled to be down in summer school holidays is just stupid, not to mention a water ride

Whats weird is its only 1 week, not the normal 3-4 for maintenance, and its also two rides on the far side. Maybe (hopefully) there is construction works happening in those areas that causes unavoidable closures?

its a nice positive thought, but it's June. They've got 6 months to plan. You'd bust a gut not to shut down attractions in the middle of the peak season. If it were for positive construction (like a ride) we'd know about it (hopefully) by now.

If its non-essential works, surely you'd aim to do it somewhere in the next 5 months, or hold off until february?

As @Brad2912 points out, Gary Weiss personally bought $12m in Ardent shares so maybe there is an announcement coming soon, but as we saw with DCR there can be a literal rollercoaster in the front yard of a park and they still could pretend it doesn't exist.

Also, DW haven't always been kings of ideal planning with works happening during holidays quite regularly.  The short time frame to me though is what I find most interesting.

Unless its the wrong dates and they will be updated/removed next week. 🤷‍♀️

TOT is scheduled to go back into maintainence in just a few days though.. so essesntially DW have randomly opened the ride for a couple of days in the middle of its annual maintainence? And they’ve closed Tailspin only for the few days TOT will be open.

so, TOT needs more maintenance, but we'll open it up before its finished so the park doesn't look dead.

Sounds like safety taking a back seat. I guess it can't really hurt anyone... #wait

But the ride system has been around for so many years with no changes... She'll be right mate

TOT II hasn’t been closed for maintenance, it’s been closed to save money. No maintenance has been going on inside, it’s just been sitting dormant and reopening randomly when something else closes for unexpected maintenance.

It’s actual maintenance is later in the year, it will close again for actual annual maintenance later in the year. Nothing but the usual Dreamworld cost cutting at the expense of guest experience to make the books look better for the end of financial year.
