Rode the one at Nagashima Spa Land - can confirm, would rate it scarier than Giant Drop just because it's so mechanical.

+1 to @MickeyD's experience - i rode the same SFMM version, and always found it an interesting ride. I'd have loved to have seen one out here!

For anyone out there scratching their heads and trying to work out what this is...

Living in Perth I’d go for Adventureworld.  Assuming the bush land to the south if the park was available I’d go for either Space Mountain from Disneyland Paris or the Wickerman from Alton Towers. I do have a thing for wooden roller coasters.
