I haven't kept up but assume the stinger slides are the ones on the outside edges you can see in the above pic - just supports in place? 

My guess is they've built the inside ones first for easy crane access to the site, and they'll now build the stingers which they can reach from the sides perhaps?

Posted earlier this month. Stinger's runoff has been completed and Octo is making good progress.

I was able to get down to Jamberoo on Saturday so I got some photos of the area while going up the chairlift. Speaking to staff they said the slides will all be installed by next week and they still have intention of opening them this season. As sceptical as I am about that there where people actively working onsite the whole day.

Thanks for the update, but man you were so close to getting better shots of the whole attraction if you just turned the phone/camera fully sideways, you were almost there.

As is I crap my pants on the chairlift and I took my phone cover off since it blurs all the photos so I was nervous about dropping my phone while taking those photos. If they do open the slides this season I’ll try make it out there and take some better pics.

Yeah that timeline was very ambitious and there have been too many high impact weather events and sustained rains that have contributed to the timeline blowout. Its not  Leviathan blowout proportions but it is significant.

And we have a opening date: September 24th

Jamberoo has officially confirmed that the new attraction Velocity Falls will open with the new season in 6 weeks time!! This is fantastic news for the park and it should be a huge winner with the punters!! I can see Jamberoo having an excellent season !! Looking forward to visiting in February to check out the new installs.

I feel it looks a little more Clive and a little less Katherine than was shown in the concept art.

They've still got vehicles on the site, but it has the makings of an awesome area. Given what they've done with previous installs, I feel confident that they'll plus this beyond what is shown in the video, and i'll wait to see what it looks like on launch day.

Yeah agree 100% here. This is not the finished product, they have obviously had delays and I think they have got it to the point that its able to open to the public. This will be huge for them. The theming and presentation still needs some work and like @DaptoFunlandGuy, I am confident that they will deliver. Remember that the awesome Funnel Web Spider was installed a full season after the slide actually opened, so there is definitely precedence here for the park.

Bring it on- its going to be an excellent attraction for Jamberoo and its hould give them the sprongboard for a very busy season!

Looks like there's a freefall slide and a more traditional twister style slide.
