You used your and you’re in the wrong places.. but anyways.. comments like this totally shit me. if someone criticises a parks decision, responding with “go run your own park” is a total assclown response. We are allowed to be critical. Encasing a flume is a ridiculous idea. If a log becomes stuck in a dangerous spot, or in a worst case scenario is inundated or flipped, there is no escape route.

I didn't say 'what is stigma' i said 'what "stigma"'. You suggested there is a stigma around golf and driving ranges. I'm asking what that stigma is. For example - theme parks in Australia are unlikely to construct river rapids rides after the stigma left by the TRRR accident... Has there been a series of deaths linked to playing golf (outside of Caddyshack) ? Whats the actual issue with golf \ driving ranges?

JWorld has a really good rep here on Parkz, so I am not going to call BS. But it would be nice to know where the info came from.

Driving ranges and golf in general is normally seen as a boring old persons sport. Think of it like in high school, the person who would have done Scouts or whatever "social" game was popular at the time whether it be a card game like Magic or Pokemon, or a tabletop like Warhammer or D&D. They would have copped alot of shit for those. In my HS one of the Friday afternoon sports we offered was golf. Only 1 person signed up for that and he copped alot of shit for it too, but the moment the school announced 6 months later that people with X amount of merit point things were going to Aqua Golf out at Penrith, people payed attention. While it may only be across young people and those in the lower socio-economic bracket, there is definitely a stigma.
