There is an American company that specialises in painting rides and slides and they have the special equipment to paint semi transparent slides. LPS hired them to paint some of their rides.

I believe wet n wild should follow white water world in repainting majority of their slides. Here’s some photos I took today. The aqua loop especially looks terrible.

First off, I want to clarify that I absolutely did NOT climb on anything. I'm already fairly tall, and on top of that I was using a selfie stick. I don't really understand the hostility, other people are posting heaps of photos, including behind the scenes pictures like the one from Sculpt Studio.

I think MW assume every person who has a FN season pass will be attending every night, so you should be good! In other FN news, Sculpt Studios have taken down their Pennywise post

I don't get why repainting these coasters is OK but repainting Whitewater World was considered as waste of money?

More people through the gate means more money spent. Cabanas are what you'll see the families and groups of friends use. I don't know if the park would be a whole day park yet. Add a lazy river and then you got yourself an all-day water park I reckon. Flow riders are self-contained units. Upgrade to a bigger model that allows more people on safely (the barrel model is perfect). Won't lie that WnW kinda just has it over WWW, but then all you have to do it remember how easy it is to get from WWW to DW and you got yourself a winner. Then you can finally fix up the gate issues at the old Thunderbolt station.

I don't think it will look like the renders. Normally with these the manufacturer just gives a 3D model but in this case it looks like the person doing the rendering just read off the plan and interpreted. The blue slide i bet will only be a 450 degree helix, so much lower, and it follows the green one will just be a couple of gentle straights with the turn

I know people get upset about attractions going. I was upset then the go-karts got taken away. Heck, when the speed boats went that was bad. But they did replace those attractions with better attractions. So we all have fond memories. But the park pulls its weight when it comes to making its own money. Yes, some things have been state and local government funded but it does bring tourism to the region and generates jobs within the Albion park / Kiama region. Youll find the park complies with environmental regulations so I wouldn't be terribly worried about the chlorine etc. The one thing this park do is they don't try to change the topography of the land and that's a massive plus. I suppose they can't help it because it is built on the side of two mountains and stuck in a gully.

These plans are fantastic!! They highlight a huge commitment on the park to delivering excellent themed attractions for what is essentially a regional water park. More power to them! Couple this with the proposed Alpine Toboggan ride ( a ride which I have campaigned for Jamberoo attaining for a number of years now) and Jamberoo is set to take a huge leap in attractions and offerings. My initial thoughts; The concept art is absolutely stunning. This has to be a contender for the best themed water slide attraction in Australia. Its great to see that the Park still has as part of its future plans a large action river, a water coaster and other slides as has been previously released in plan form I must admit that I find the selection of ride and timing a little odd, however. My opinion is that it would have been more effective ride lineup to forge ahead with their previous plans first. Jamberoo has been accused in the past of doubling up on attractions and essentially the same experience (see Funnel Web and Perfect Storm) and installing an Octo racer slide alongside the existing Surf hill will probably do nothing to dispel these perceptions. As as been stated, obviously there must be plans afoot for the future of Surf Hill. It must also be said that racer slides are great crowd soaker attractions , and having both for the small to medium term wont hurt in terms of throughput. I would like to see the proposed Alpine Toboggan built first as I think this attraction would be a great precursor to the new slide area. Australia has needed one of these Alpine toboggans for quite a while and this will be a unique and first attraction for the Australian public. Hopefully this comes to fruition. Whilst it is definitely a shame to see these 2 slides disappear, they were certainly "getting on in years" and very ripe for redevelopment. This is a great replacement for them, and hopefully down the track, Surf Hill can be replaced with an updated similar body slide attraction in its memory. Looking at the plans, the Rock precinct seems to be untouched and still remains. I certainly hope this is retained as this is a fairly unique attraction for a water park and it is still massively popular with park patrons. Hopefully it will be around for a few more years . In the wake of the WNW Sydney rebrand and rename to Raging Waters and its announcement of its new water slide Whirlwind, this is the perfect response by Jamberoo. Isnt it funny how investment and competition is a direct driver of more investment? This is great for NSW, as we can definitely support these 2 parks easily. The attention to detail on this looks really on point and if it comes to fruition as planned, must be the benchmark for Australian water parks. WNW Gold Coast, Funfields, Adventure Park and Raging Waters please take note! We visit Jamberoo every year in February with about 8-10 families. This will be a welcome expansion and my kids are already excited at the prospect of it. Bring it on!!

Jamberoo never disappoint, do they? If only Village could have learned from what they're doing when they put WNWS together? I must admit, I have fond memories of running up that long footpath to slide down those body slides that are sunken into the surrounding earth. Simple fun, and a great way to burn off kids energy. Looks like the long path to get to these new slides will be just as arduous, but probably a little nicer to look at! I was only showing my wife some Jamberoo attractions on youtube the other day, and these slides did come up in one of the videos. I must admit i'm a little sad to see them go, but excited for the next step in Jamberoo's development. It is an interesting point about Surf Hill - which will probably become redundant as a result of the octo racer - but this is probably part of the master plan - creating a new multi slide racer elsewhere, clearing the way for surf hill to be removed and another attraction to take its place. I haven't been to Jamberoo in a long time, and it's probably going to be a little longer before i get down there - but I am looking forward to it! I guess at this point, one has to assume The Rock's days are numbered.

They never have had a proper 'rollercoaster'. It is very likely referring to Bobsled as @strop suggested. Anyway, time to 'kill the speculation'. Jamberoo's 2018/2019 season passes went on sale in the past few hours hence a television commercial campaign has begun: Well it wasn't Emu Mountain Rapids but Jamberoo's other two-slide ride. If you haven't figured it out now, in the 1st social media image, the eye was from a creature known as a taipan hence referring to The Taipan (Thought it looked familar!). The taipan's eye was next to an aerial view of the centre of a tornado hence referring to The Perfect Storm. Essentially, there is no 'development' or 'enhancement' this upcoming season. Jamberoo was just promoting their "trilogy of tube slides": This all formed part of their 2018/2019 season pass marketing campaign. No doubt a lot of people are going to be disappointed at the prospect of no new ride this season (especially the hundreds of people on social media who anticipated such a new ride). Whilst the taipan's eye is very similar to the eyes seen on the actual ride, as far as I know, this version (seen in the social media images) has never been used in Jamberoo's marketing before. If I originally knew The Taipan was the ride originally being promoted, I would have expected the cartoon taipan to be used (similar to the funnel web spider and storm scene used in the 2nd social media image). The taipan's eye next to the tornado could also be mistaken for the eye of a bird (like an eagle) hence hinting a possible new ride. Given they didn't promote their "trilogy of tube slides" last season like they are now, could this marketing campaign be signalling the end of development of new tube slides at Jamberoo? Emu Mountain Rapids could have been the last tube slides to be built at Jamberoo (unless Thunder Downunder counts as a "tube slide"?) but the possibility has now returned that it is being replaced by Jamberoo's 'newly proposed $6.5 million large major custom-designed hybrid world-first ride', which hasn't yet been confirmed as a "tube slide" (though a type of hybrid waterslide is highly expected). In the end, this 6 day social media campaign was a brilliant marketing campaign. Jamberoo never directly said that a new ride was coming soon. They built hype, anticipation and speculation & in the end, it was just season passes. And what was "ready"? Well, the park is. Let's just hope there have been some 'enchancements' for the upcoming season!
