  2. Could you say Buzzsaw's station is a bit of a head chopper too?
  3. I don’t think @Smol bean was even born when Eureka was operational….
  4. The TOT II tunnel was definitely quite the head chopper..
  5. All of Eureka? I never though ToT's tunnel was a head chopper for some reason. Maybe because you'd just come out of the tunnel a few seconds ago, or maybe because the turn was so gradual but never really was a thing for me. The only head chopper of any real note I can think of on the Gold Coast was Corkscrew's dive under the monorail.
  6. That superman comic from Earlier post is the gremlins for the main parade. There are moving gremlins in bowl, oven and cupboard
  7. Also had a great day at MW. The atmosphere was amazing. Characters everywhere. Happy guests. Good operations on the rides by Movie World standards, too! Seeing Marvin 3D again was a great throwback and a lot of fun. The crowd in my showing were absolutely loving it - replace Yogi with this please! Parade was surprisingly good. Lots of character both old and new, with the new Gremlin float being my personal highlight. Great stuff! 👍
  8. After a very nice visit to Movieworld today, must I say, it was probably the best visit I've had so far. Entertainment everywhere. Movie magic all over Main Street... The rides were sooo good too, with Rivals having low physical and Virtual Queue times (with a few 30 mins waits). Superman was a walk-on in the morning while also running 2 trains. Green Lantern was a walk-on and dead all day with 4 carriages on-track (with a 5th cling wrapped and duct taped down to the storage/maintenance track 🤨). Scooby... well you had better chances getting on by using Virtual Queue (10 mins VQ wait time most of the day). Doomsday was closed in the morning then opened later on with minimal physical and Virtual Queue waiting times. So yeah... Nice day indeed.
  9. I went on vortex for the first time this morning. I had read on here before that the cycle should be longer, it’s not as good as wipeout, etc. Having ridden Wipeout a number of times, I had something to compare it too. My first thoughts of it are: It’s disappointing. It’s definitely a needed attraction for the park (or any form of large scale flat ride was needed really). The entrance to the area is nice, there’s a good amount of planting leading up to the ride. The queue is… underwhelming. The curved walls around the ride, the carvings within it are good touch, and the water bubbling adds something too. The seating is comfortable. The ride itself, it’s so harsh, jarring and over before you know it. The issue I have is it feels too mechanical. Much like the issue we’ve had with doomsday, it feels too controlled. The cycle should build up to the flips, like how Wipeout did. It should go over the top a few times and let the ride pick up speed. Stop at the top, lock in place and then do a full rotation (which is what it did, but that’s all it did). Then a few rotations, lock in, do flips, and maybe do that process 3 times. Have a moment where it’s intense, but have some ‘filler’ rotations so the cycle lasts much longer. Because of the constant water, the colouration of the walls around the ride are also starting to go brown
  10. While the Yosemite Sam’s Diner isn’t open, we have got some sort of version of it
  11. Was there this morning, agree the vibe is amazing, always something happening. The app has updated so you need to be in park to VQ, that seems to have improved the VQ wait times, at 11 hypercoaster was only 10 minutes, green lantern was empty ! It’s a great event
  12. The fenced off area in the car park has been reduced Framing is going up for the rockwork The fencing between BuzzSaw and Steel Taipan has started to be removed
  13. Something like this would be the PERFECT replacement for Arkham Asylum. It's well themed, and it's actually about movies in general rather than just being Superhero themed, something Movieworld needs desperately. It also looks like something the whole family can enjoy.
  14. Looks like it will have a head chopper effect on the tunnel which is new for dreamworld since i'm pretty sure they've never had a head chopper before on a roller coaster. Excited to see if it will be good.
