Train is currently loaded with water dummies and on the launch track, just after the switch.

Destination Dad and Daughter captured the track that used to lead to the maintenance building being removed Looks like the train won’t go this way at all anymore The colorbond has been installed, but interestingly there is a gap for the train track. Now I’m thinking that the Rocky hollow station will be changed to the storage/maintenance area. Otherwise it would’ve been removed when the log ride was being demolished?

Have to agree. It’s WhiteWater World’s most underrated advantage.

The best additions at WnW in my opinion were Whitewater Mountain and Calypso Beach. It was the first time they brought strong thematic elements and a real sense of international standard excitement to the park. It has been disappointing that since then they went back to generic additions with no theming and a distinct lack of imagination

I can see the problems in both aspects. @Slick has outlined well why some things can't be divulged, but I've noticed that some people (not mentioning names) do like to dangle the carrot over others heads because it's a simple way to climb the ranks within enclosed, niche communities like this. However I don't think @TimmyG is necessarily in the wrong for asking for a follow up because it can cause a discussion to falter until it divulges into the community shaking the magic 8-ball to try and get the information they want.

I think the horn sounded for Rivals because the coasters perimeter was so long, they needed to let anyone know within that area know it was testing. For ST all the track is visible from the station, so I don’t think it will be necessary

But WhiteWater World doesn't have lifts for 2 person raft slides?

Obviously I understand why, but it is sad to look at that area of the park on the map and see how empty it looks compared to how it used to be Obviously a coaster doesn’t visually fill up a map as much as the river rapids did. Not sure if anyone else agrees/knows the point I’m getting at? Either way, I’m very excited for Steel Taipan and it looks like all the site work should be finished in the next couple weeks providing the weather is good. And then it should be non-stop testing. long term members and community leaders that say 'i know, trust me' still comes off wankerish - especially newer members who don't know how everyone is placed... its just other long term members who know the provenance of the source gives it some authority. This isn't directed at @Slick specifically - he merely provided an answer to a question rather than made unprompted assertions, and Magician also explained his backstory.

Then someone who hasn't been around long and no one knows from a bar of soap says "i know, trust me" it comes off wankerish. When a community leader on these forums like @Slick says it, it is because it means "i know, trust me".

How sad is it walking into DW now and seeing that cheap white 'modern' awning and facade around Sky Voyager? Being a theme park, as if you wouldn't have run with the existing theme in that area and just jazzed up significantly the existing heritage style building. So much more character. And now there's more white vinyl stretching as far as the eye can see with Taipan. Do current Gold Coast theme park bosses realise they are in charge of THEME parks?

Seeing this unanimous and overwhelming praise is so heartwarming. This is the kind of emotion and excitement which explains why I'm so deeply interested in rollercoasters. I truly hope to make my way across the world to ride it someday <3

Transparency kills careers in this industry. I know this all too well - when I was made redundant, I had shared my experience privately with a small group of mates. One of those mates (one that I had known for 15+ years, had photographed his and his family’s weddings) decided to dob my private conversation into my former employer in order to curry favour for their own fan site. I wasn’t proud of what I said while I was hurting (who is?) but I felt the integrity move was the right move and owned what I said immediately. Meanwhile, this friend continued for months to gaslight me and other folks in the community, going as far as to create fake accounts/emails and even blaming his own fan page admins, tearing a group of mates apart in the process. That mate has still yet to own his impact. What a top bloke right? TLDR; I don’t have a relationship with my former employer anymore, purely because a friend capitalised on my heartbreak on a dream job ending prematurely. That’s why I say “trust me” and why I just don’t care anymore if you (or anyone) thinks it’s wankerish.

Thank you. I don’t care if Slick worked for the park or not, the words “I know, trust me” without providing evidence are a little pompous/ wankerish in my books, so thank you for providing the evidence to show it is protected. So when/ if Dreamworld becomes a housing estate/ shopping centre, it will become the memorial river..
