Considering there is an entire area dedicated specifically to the Indigenous Australian culture, I think it would be in incredibly poor taste to host an Australia Day event given the current climate... wouldn't you?

No need for an adult event at a park that attracts mostly kids and families. There is only a couple rides for adults.

To my recollection none of our parks have ever had any Australia Day festivities, so there isn't a need to make a stand on the issue. No need to poke the bear.

Total cases in Australia from the start of the pandemic to December 30 2021: 362 677. Total deaths 2226 Total case numbers now (Jan 29): 2.46 million. Total deaths: 3477 @Rivals yea bro totally agree covid is not the blame 😂🤣😂.

White Christmas wasn't plagued with Omicron. We didn't learn much about it until just before Christmas. Cases weren't in the 50,000+ and we weren't losing any lives. Totally different ballgame now. Not to mention the vaccination mandate wasn't introduced until halfway through the event.

Dreamworld has in the past, nothing major but they’ve done a sausage sizzle, additional presentations, etc. Last year they did a party at WWW, with a DJ, giveaways, sausage sizzle, etc

Are you referring to Corroboree that was initially funded by the govt and now that the funding has ceased has recently been removed from the park with no references to it present anywhere anymore? If DW was truly interested in First Nations matters, it wouldn’t have rebadged Corroboree as “Wildlife”. If they want to make a stand on the Aus Day issue - don’t do it silently - explain why you are ignoring it and state your corporate support for #changethedate.

I admittedly haven’t been to any so ya my opinion is kinda invalidated but I got my ideas from the videos I’ve seen of the last few years if you want say that i don’t understand it because I haven’t been to one in person go ahead

If true it puts the question forward as to why this wasn’t picked up in what would/should have been quite stringent and exhaustive testing prior to re-opening
