  1. To me, it looks like whilst they were working on the 'waves' on top of the gondola, they broke the two end pieces, so they've just decided to leave those two bits off. I don't think they're going to change the colour of the logo. Why would they bring it back, after being gone so long, without painting the logo? Wouldn't it have been easier for the logo to be done before they refitted all the 'apolstery' ? (upholstery)
  2. Is that likely to happen regularly - say as in every year when your age changes? It's better to go with something that doesn't change. Admin Mods can arrange to change your user id. They'd prefer do that than have you create multiple accounts. It used to be clearly articulated in the community guidelines, but i've long since given up on that.
  3. How did you like dining in such picturesque woodland settings (ie: 'picnic area over former topple tower ride platform')?
  4. ^That's amazing Mickey! Do you mean to tell me that you don't rely on one single facebook fansite page to provide you with quality and reliable park information? Unbelievable!
  5. ^I can agree with that. The other attractions really weren't necessary, but they were a nice additional touch.
  6. Ok - I wasn't sure if Ollivander's remained in Hogsmeade, but the show experience is an upgrade, in a new location - so really they've done the equivalent of 'adding a second train' so to speak - they've just improved the capacity of the attraction (although split across two different park locations.) As for the interactive wand, AFAIK, the original ollivander's gave guests the opportunity to have a wand 'choose them' and they could buy a (non-RFID) wand. The ability to now buy an RFID enabled wand that interacts with you within the park is certainly a step up, but it is certainly an UPGRADE to an existing experience. I'm not knocking it - i think everything they've done here is fantastic, and a lot of work has gone into it - but to look at it objectively and switch off the HP fanboy inside me - It would have been nice to see them fit in more than one ride.
  7. ^let's remember that Ollivander's was originally in the WWOHP - they've opened it up in Diagon Alley as a bigger version of its former self as it proved so popular in the original release, so that isn't really 'new' - just a relocation upgrade on an existing 'attractionshow'. The interactive wand experience is also just an upgrade of the former Ollivander's site... but yes, it is much more than just 'a ride'
  8. If it's an employee, I wouldn't expect them to admit that - jeopardise their job. I've received very good info in the past from several sources inside the park, and shared them where I can - but I'm always very careful to ensure I don't reveal anything identifying. Majority of the time, I can't say anything at all. Yes it would be great to know the sources, to verify legitimacy - and this always happens when a new source pops up. Here's an idea - first time - doubt, but be open minded second time - if they were right the first time, give them the benefit of the doubt third time - if they were right the first and second time - consider them a reliable source. That's generally how I look at it. Of course - some you can skip first and second because of who they are. there are some members on here that you just know have the right info. THen again - they could throw out a red herring just to have some fun...
  9. So long as Michael bloody Croaker isn't involved in revamping the show, i'm all for it. Don't get me wrong - froggy is a great entertainment director - but his creativity lies on the corny side of normal. Things can be funny without needing to be slapstick.
  10. No way in hell those floats are side by side around the fountain. It'd be a close shave down main street - which is a "two lane" road, as opposed to a 'single lane' roundabout. If you've got some footage, i'd like to see it.
  11. Most people don't know what he's saying. Asking him why he said something isn't likely to get a much better answer.
  12. I opened this on saturday, and loaded the page, but never got around to reading it until last night. This is a perfect example of what a park needs to do when they bring in a new ride. They've built an entire world around just one ride, based on it's position within a fictional world. A ride isn't "x" themed because you plonk it down, call it that, paint it the right colour and put a few props in the queue. Every aspect of the ride has to be suited to the theme. While Orlando has always been on the to do list (and WWOHP wasn't enough to bump it up the list) this just ensured it is number 2 on my 'next to do' list. (Japan holds #1 simply because the wife has always wanted to go there, and our last two trips already postponed it).
  13. I have to say - based on the video alone (good job by the way) I thought the parade was fantastic - but I can't help but think that guests would have been happy with half of that, with more money spent on experiences (just my own opinion). I love that effort was made to place strip lighting on the ford utes, and the green+purple checker scheme looks great (under the movers, the light makes different parts of the checkers look like they change colour which is a nice effect), but at the same time - random utes (not towing floats) just seemed out of place (although i'm sure they've been sponsored, it doesn't appear to have any sponsorship decals on them). Last question - how the hell to they achieve a turnaround? Whenever i've been to a parade, i've always been up near daily planet. The fountain is obviously a great turning circle - but i'm stumped how some of these elaborate floats can pass each other (because it doesn't seem like they could all enter the turning circle before some have begun the journey back)... I'd like to see footage of THAT.
  14. ^amen. Not every new ride has to be a 'big thrill ride' - are you listening Dreamworld?
  15. Interesting knowledge you seem to have there. You're new here, so please forgive my skepticism - what kind of connection do you have to the park? Thanks for sharing.
  16. No - EXITING Is your friend in the sphericised iced confection business?
  17. What you're explaining was that it was stuck upside down. Did you see anyone poke it with a stick and rock it down? or did anyone encourage the riders to rock themselves? Or did it slowly lower itself around, thereby implying it was a geared drive?
  18. To be fair though, most of them have the same livery. It did look like a truck mounted model, but it wasn't necessarily the same one...

  20. Isn't it a geared drive? I'm pretty sure pandamonium doesn't have free-swinging capability - so if the drive stops turning, it's going to stay in that position, isn't it?
  21. ^you can hardly call it news.
