Mega looper is the generally accepted term for arrows large looping coasters though. It’s the term that YouTubers have been using for years. Tomato toomato

Giant drop outward seat. The height is utterly terrifing. It’s definitely the scariest ride I have done

The New Atlantis - Reviews & Reactions
REGIE replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
For 20M it’s a great investment. All my friends like it more then SE. What do you mean by themed tunnel though? I don’t remember there being one other then the station -
It’s a shame as it’s the ride with the most similarities to John Longhusts dreamworld and Model T fords aren’t exactly a common sight. The parks are worth a bit. It’s one of the few vintage car rides to use the operating system they do left. I think it getting new cars is the only real blow of this new upgrade. Oh well. Things don’t last forever I guess….

When DW get back on their feet and can focus on the little things more it’s going to have to be redone. It’s only acceptable because DW is having a pretty crap old time but they are still fighting. Wonderland gave up. It’s not ideal but it could be worse. We could have another shopping mall… I do hope they put a bit more effort into Rivertown though. I am actually super excited about R town and JuRush

I assume they are just checking over the welds and probably doing a overall compare of the track condition to last years readings to see how it’s fairing. It’s also good to just physically check for weak points. They would probably have flaged certain areas or high stress points and just look them over make sure everything is doing what it’s supposed to. After years of high forces track can start to change shape a bit too. It’s very bad in steel coasters but all little things they have to look out for.

Are we riding the same coaster? Maybe it’s because my expectations were so high the first time Idk . All my recent rides on it I felt like Other then the awesome launch and the not as good as DCR drop the ride doesn’t do much in the way of forces. I never feel airtime on it other then the drop. It’s a great fun ride but that’s all it’s 4th/5th in my list rn. It might change later this year but idk. Plus my head is perfect height to be beaten by the restraints. Based on my latests rides I prefer Leviathan to SE.

Some ideas for future polls (soon we will have to start comparing already compared coasters and maybe bring in some flat rides) GL vs GC wild mouse vs Scenic railway road runner vs KFF battle of the pendulum rides backwards leviathan vs spinning ST TOT vs GD Battle of the transport rides (monorail, DW express ect) battle of the Kiddie spinner coasters. dooms day vs bounty vs pandemonium.

Does Movieworld run 2 trains on DC Rivals on weekends?
REGIE replied to paulobrien95's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Every 4-8 yr old around this way has one of those. 🤮 -
Honestly I would rather LPM spend the money on repairing the old rides vs geting new ones. If one had to go twin dragons can. The others might not be as thrilling or impressive as new rides but they are super nostalgic. I love when LPM shows up in a old movie and basically ever ride in the movie is still there. With parks removing old rides everywhere LPM has stayed a time capsule. As soon as enterprize or spider is gone it’s a end of a era. LPM wouldn’t be so high on my bucket list if it had all new flats.. . Plus the ghost train is iconic. Redoing it would be a big L. There’s enough high tech dark rides in the world keep this one original. . However with Luna park Sydney it’s a bit different. If they got a ghost train do it with modern tech. I actually like the half pipe coaster idea. It gets another coaster in. . This company https://www.marc-rides.de/WELCOME/4_en_Home.html also makes fun houses. But vekoma is better.

I desperately wish they had kept the galaxi, and I want them to get another coaster but not at the exception of losing these rides: The spider and enterprise are just a dying breed. And twin dragon and pharaohs curse need to stay. And ofc TSR , GT and the carousel are staples. Losing any of these would be a big shame and these rides are what give LPM it’s charm and the main draw for me and many other people. The rest of the rides can go however. I would love if they did 1 of 2 things: 1- buy a old schwarzkopf jet star and a few other second hand rare flat rides. 2- buy a new coaster either a modern version of Big Dipper or a clone of sandy’s blasting bronco. And buy some more vintage flat rides as well as a gyro swing like what’s at pacific park pier. Luna Park Melbourne wins when they stay charming and nostalgic but also have some tastefully done modern rides. It’s a hard balance to bring in new rides and keep the original charm. Losing galaxi was a L imo. What rides now take up its foot print?? also on RCDB it says LPM had a wood coaster named figure 8. Would this have been similar to leap the dips? I would rather a castle themed fun house in the Viking revenge castle vs another flying theatre. We don’t really have many fun houses in Australia. Either built by vekoma or MARC. (Or some other company if there is better ones)

Dreamworld doesn’t have a live ride times website while you can check on the village parks any time with queue-park. Not trying to derail it again but that’s where I at least get the info. Not the maintenance pages. I only brought it up because I am most likely heading down there tomorrow.

Personally I feel like they are doing a good job of this. Painting main station, GD, GC and doing up areas at a time is great. It’s been a bit gutted in rides but it’s definitely alive at least at the front of the park. It’s got a nice atmosphere I think and all these additions will add to that. That’s not to say they don’t need more rides they need ALOT 2 filler a water ride a major thrill coaster and a dark ride. But I am not expecting this in one year maybe over the next 7-10 years.

Up in Murwillumbah there’s a bunch of them. They look hilarious but they think they are super cool. The trend is already trending. I see them everywhere -
DCR is also down today? (Edit. DCR was down for 2 hours this morning. It did some test runs and they just reopened it.)

Project Zero is so huge and imposing. Not many rides can have under 1000M of track and look that terrifing. It gets my vote for just looks. And it’s fun. GL is great too. I hate the exit path right next to the road though.
