  1. We already have one at Movie World. (Scooby). I would rather a dark boat ride to make up for the losses of LTRR and BT.
  2. Another good thing about the theatre is that it can be used for multiple things (much like the Nick one) when it was Madagascar it could only be used for that only.
  3. I'm guessing Bella will be the one making you wet with her gun?
  4. Yes, I know Justice League was only introduced 10 years ago and had a refurb not long ago. However, I am wondering what it could be replaced with, seeing as it is very unpopular. I reckon after Scooby/WoO we will see it removed TBH. What I would like - a river ride based on Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. It fits into the "classic movies" thing that MW is going for with WoO, also is one of Warner's most popular franchises.
  5. Not sure TBH. If it keeps being this unreliable I feel they should just get rid of it. It’s hidden away from the current DC area so I would rather just replace the whole area with something new. In other news, Batwing has been extended a week. No change for Superman.
  6. If they do put more filler, I would personally sacrifice Speedy Gonzales for it, because: Oldest ride in the park (only one remaining from opening) JDS offers the same thing but 90cm+ can go on, including 145cm+ One of the least popular kids rides
  7. Wow! That went up fast. I could see it opening in the next few weeks or so for the Easter School Holidays.
  8. Unfortunately, the Hollywood version is smaller than the Japan/Epic Universe ones, which have the Mario Kart ride and Yoshi's Adventure as well as the Donkey Kong expansion coming soon. IIRC the Singapore version will be based off Hollywood's version. The theming looks great though, great job by Pico Play (They made the Japan version, not sure about the Hollywood one). The new WoO land concept art at Movie World kind of reminds me of SNW TBH, makes sense as I am pretty sure its going to be by Pico as well.
  9. I was hoping for it to be from the end of October till the start of holidays, but unfortunately its not. At least I will be going with all the coasters (exc. Scooby) open.
  10. Justice League will be under maintenance from 2 October-10 November. Disappointing as I am thinking of going during October.
  11. It is funny how dumb some of the reasons people are voting no are TBH. "Koalas will lose their habitats" and "Village should build there hotel at Dreamworld" just makes me laugh. I have also noticed that the people wanting the hotel are generally smarter than the people opposing it.
  12. Another thing that is a problem is that Intamin do not make Hydraulic Launch Coasters anymore. Their last one was Formula Rossa in 2010, and before that the previous one was made in 2007. Intamin mainly does LSM launches now, so it will become harder to get parts as you said. I reckon that MW will try to make the ride last as long as possible, as it is one of their 4 most popular rides (DCR, Superman, Scooby, WWF) As such I can see them doing a similar thing to WWF/RR/SDSC where they make major changes to preserve the ride. One way to resolve it, as I am suggesting is to replace the Hydraulic Launch with LSMs. They could either use Intamin or Zamperla to help refurb it. The reason I am saying Zamperla is because they are changing the Hydraulic Launch by Intamin on Senzafiato at Miragica to a LSM launch by them while relocating it to Playland Amusement Park in Canada. They are also rumoured to do the same with TTD at Cedar Point, however it will be in the same spot. I would rather have the launch be changed than the coaster be removed all together.
  13. Seems that Getaway is at Jamberoo Action Park today. I’ll watch it and see what they think. David Whitehill was the one to visit the park. He is first seen on the new Velocity Falls, and here’s what he thinks: Firstly, he thinks that The Stinger is faster and scarier than he thought. After, he rode the Octo Racer and unfortunately “had a disappointing result” not coming first and being beaten. He also notes about the food there, and also notes that it is in the middle of dairy areas that makes it different from other parks in the country. He also interviews a few people, including some families visiting and a worker at the park. Overall, he thought it is a great place for families to visit.
  14. Well they wouldn't change it "because it is really really good". Lets see some reasons why it could be swapped like TTD: Less unreliable option Less costly to maintain. Easier to get parts. Other coasters are doing it, and hydraulic launches are becoming more rare Yes we don't know if they will or not but I could see it happening. If Superman goes under a refurb similar to WWF/RR/SDSC then I could see the launch replaced with LSMs.
  15. If that is true, then great timing as the new Flash movie is coming out mid-year.
  16. It would be good if they just replaced the launch/brakes with LSMs. It is most likely happening with TTD at Cedar Point and would be good if they did the same there.
  17. The one at Luna Park Sydney is also made by P&B. In fact, it is the exact same model as the new one at Dreamworld so you can expect a similar experience. Also, another good thing is both have high capacity with 64 riders.
  18. If a Disney or Universal Park came to Australia, my bet is that it is either Disney/Universal have a minority stake in the park or none at all. The Japan, Hong Kong and Shanghai parks are not 100% owned by Disney and the Paris Park wasn't when opened. Disneyland Park, Walt Disney World, Disneyland Paris: Owned 100% by Disney Hong Kong Disneyland: Only a 48% minority stake by Disney, the other 52% owned by government of Hong Kong Shanghai Disneyland: Only a 43% minority stake by Disney, the other 57% owned by Shanghai Shendi Group Tokyo Disneyland: Not owned by Disney at all with The Oriental Land Company having full control of the park. It is the same with Universal as the Orlando, Hollywood, Beijing and Japan parks are 100% owned by Universal however the Singapore park is owned by Genting Singapore and Universal has no say in the park.
  19. It seems Spongebob's Boating School Blast has won the competition 13-2-5-1. Basically all coasters at Village parks exc. Storm are in the all star list. TNT Big Dipper III Superman Escape Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster Jet Rescue Boomerang Wild West Falls Green Lantern Leviathan Giant Drop Sapphire Speedster Coaster Speedy Beetle Spongebob's Boating School Blast The next polls will be similar to the drop tower one, but with Gyro Swings. Vote by Sunday here:
  20. Time to do another "big" poll, this time with one of the most popular ride types in the country. Vote by Sunday.
  21. By the looks of that, I feel like Dreamworld are wanting to open the Dreamland area in stages for school holidays. So far it seems that Part 1 is DreamWorld Theater, Belinda's Tree House and Serpent Slayer while Part 2 is Kenny's Forest Flier and Play School Wheel.
  22. Results are in, and Speedy Beetle wins against Crazy Coaster. It now goes to the next stage of the competition. TNT Big Dipper III Superman Escape Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster Jet Rescue Boomerang Wild West Falls Green Lantern Leviathan Giant Drop Sapphire Speed Coaster Speedy Beetle As with the previous poll, this one will be sped up due to being unintresting compared to others. We will be comparing Spongebob's Boating School Blast, Bug Run, Little Nipper and Dragons Express. Only one will win. Vote by Saturday and vote here:
  23. This is the second last coaster poll, and I am doing these so one can be counted. Vote by Thursday.
