The old luna ride ranger is in Perth it will be at Hillarys Boat Harbour from Boxing Day in Sorrento Quays new name top gun 

Do you have any more information or sources on this? I tried to do some searching but could only find this thread. I also thought Ranger was being used for parts on other rides...

It’s not the ranger ride, it’s the travelling ride called “Top Gun” which is the same ride type. Which has been brought by sideshow amusements in perth. Recently done up and will debuts there 

Where did sideshow amusements buy it from?

Yeah I thought that was the case, because from what I remember, Ranger was bought by a showman to be used as parts for renovating a Rainbow, as the parts between the models are largely cross-compatible.

Whether or not that amounts to anything I suppose will be seen on the show circuit next year.

How can you tell?

It was a good fun ride, 100% more forceful than doomsday for sure. It’s a ARM model not a Huss model. Still lots of fun. Also due for a full rebuild once the carnival ends in February. New scenery, new lights, paint, motors etc. 

Took me way too long to understand what Tim was talking about.
