I wouldn’t take that is fact yet because it’s likely they just forgot to extend the closure to match what the calendar goes to. I don’t think it’s offical reopening date will be confirmed until a few weeks before it will actually reopen.

Yeah I doubt the park would have a forecast opening date that far in advance, but also, that specific date in the middle of winter. It makes sense for them to aim for a school holiday opening with a soft opening maybe a week or so before for technical rehearsals. I would guess with how vague they've been they're probably targeting september holidays.

You’d think the usual 2 month block for superman is not enough time to rebuild the trains and renovate the queue?

Could see it down until June

Yeah I’d say this is far enough in advance that they aren’t putting down Superman as being closed for longer. Which I think it will given the updated queue, a lot of work in addition to the usual work they do on it every year.

Scooby going back online in June is plausible, maybe a couple of weeks later in time for the winter school holiday break. That said it’s been closed for long enough and it’s extremely hard to follow progress given all the work being done is indoors. It could realistically open at any school holiday break after that point whether that be July or September or in time for summer, with a few weeks heads up.

The longer shutdown time that crops up for superman sometimes is usually due to a rope change for the winch/catch car and/or hydraulic hoses for the power/drive unit. They aren't done yearly and it's usually staggered as it's preventative maintenance vs required annual maintenance.

Same with Batwing. Periodic rope changes add additional time to the yearly maintenance schedule.

The park has updated the maintenance schedule and as suspected Scooby doesn’t reopen on June 2. It’s listed as closed as far as the calendar goes.

Must of run into problems. Will be interesting too see if it opens for the September school holidays. Surely this would be the only attraction they are pumping money into

My best guess would be the moving platforms at the station. Other than that, they should be reliable as hell. Jungle Rush and FOTWW seem to be going well anyways.

By all accounts, KT has been a capacity machine. Soft openings usually iron out any kinks, but opening so close to peak didn't give any opportunity to bed things down (for either park) and it's inevitable that things are going to break in real world conditions.

I've no idea what's wrong - but it was always going to happen at some point. It's one of the main reasons why new rides all go down after their first big ops season to check over everything. it's why new cars go back in after 1000kms to check everything is going right - because sometimes some things don't.

the other day both trains had to get evac’d from the top of each lift hill, which it was listed as under maintenance after that but i think reopened in the afternoon the next day. i’ve also heard it overshot the station with the first two rows being too far off the breaks, so maybe they’re having issues with the station equipment.

I heard a while back that they were having difficulty getting KT to duel during commissioning, so I wouldn't be surprised if some of those issues still persist. If that's the case then I imagine Vekoma may return at some point to do some reprogramming and recommissioning.

Went of Superman a couple of days ago in a few years. It has gotten quite rough to say the least. Dispatch times with 2 trains was roughly 5 minutes. Still a great experience with the launch.

Superman’s maintenance has been brought forward a couple of weeks and has already closed. Still scheduled to reopen April 4.

This is really sad because if they redo the wait areas during That period I’m guessing the info videos will also be changed like how they changed the audio for Wild West falls I’m going to miss that video

Not sure how you’d miss “All loose items including anything in your pockets should have been left with a friend or in the lockers at the entrance” being blasted at ear piercing volume every 2 minutes but you do you I guess

It's those kind of earworms that you absorb standing in lines for hours listening to the same thing repeatedly and i'm sure many here could recite the entire script from memory.

I can tell you, even with Wonderland closed for over 20 years, I can still remember several attraction spiels. I'm grateful that much of the pre-recorded stuff - such as on Space Probe - was able to be captured so I could relive those memories too.

Hopefully someone out there has a copy of the current pre-show video - maybe one day it finds the light of day for everyone who does remember it to listen to again fondly...

I'll just leave you with this.
