Wet n Wild is now cashless as per the pop up on their website and the following in the ThemeParks.com.au T&Cs

Wet’n’Wild is a cashless venue, with card and digital payments only accepted at the park. Guest who visit Wet’n’Wild and only have cash will need to convert their cash to a Village Roadshow Theme Parks Gift Card at the Wet’n’Wild ‘Upgrade Booth’ (located at the front of the park.

Okay then.

They mean 'We don't need to maintain floats, pay staff to manage cash/reconcile registers at the end of the day, or pay bank fees for cash processing - and we get to add a card surcharge if we want so it costs us nothing'.

It's been cashless for a while.

Since when? Don't regularly visit but I believe it's only recently been mentioned on their website and terms and conditions.

AOS and PC now also cashless with the following caveat in the website FAQ

During this transition period, we will work with guests who only have cash on solutions to ensure they can still experience the venue. Please note, this will be a short-term option only while we transition to be a fully cashless venue.
