Think this is a fantastic offering and great value!

INB4 "someone" rants on about them giving away the gate to say this is exactly how some of the US Parks operate, and while it's technically possible to take extreme advantage of this dining plan with some dedication, they're counting on you to spend more on extras, or stay longer which increases your chance of higher per cap spending, or bring friends who don't have the dining plan. Those few who maximise their benefits will be well offset by the people who add it on, and either don't make full use of it, or otherwise spend more than they're costing the park on extras, merch and other items.

They'd also have a certain amount of wastage each day like bread buns and such that they'd be writing off anyway, so i'm sure a business as large as this has run the numbers and isn't going to go broke (or miss paying shareholders) by offering an additional upcharge.

Thanks for posting that - Jesus christ I missed the big one - there's no drink included in the meals.

Post-mix soft drink costs literal cents. they're taking a hit on a (~$3-4 cost) burger and fries that a passholder may not have purchased to get you to buy a drink. The margin on their drinks (even cans and bottles) is more than $4 so even without bringing a friend, buying extras or increasing your per cap on merch and other items, they're going to make enough to cover the cost if you buy any drink (even if you bring your existing sipper cup) so its an absolute no-brainer. still able to be gamed by those committed, but the average consumer who sees the value in this isn't going to cost the park anything, and likely spend more than they otherwise would have. it's pretty good.

(Also, I think it's great that their outlets CHEWZIE pages are accessible from the website, even when the park is closed. it's great to be able to see the menu and pricing from outside the park (and this is another thing overseas parks do well) to plan ahead for picky eaters or decide where to be for lunchtime to accommodate your groups preferences. Chewzie isn't available on the website for Jane's restaurant though, but they do have a PDF of the menu online)

this will never happen purely because Greg knows what thoosies would do if this offer was on the table.

In seriousness though, I think RSA would likely have more issues with this. I know it's tongue in cheek... but I think you'll be waiting a while. ;)
