Whats Happening To Terror Canyon?

Featured Replies

Hopefully something really thrilling. I feel Wet'n'Wild has had a lack of these lately.
2006: Jet Streams & Tornado 2007: Surfrider 2008: Kamikaze The last 3 years have been thrilling attractions....

Well... I'll give you Surfrider. But I wouldn't class Kamikaze and Jet Streams as something really thrilling. I should have said extreme. In fact not many are IMO. I'd like to see Wet'n'Wild get something that you'd class as an extreme waterslide.

Yeah come on Ash, Jet Streams and Tornado are thrilling surely? I mean, if you look worldwide, arguably the most thrilling slide would be Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach....and the Jet Streams are the closest thing to that.

Hmmmm... I guess guys. What is the slide called that you are in an enclosed tube and it drops you out near vertical?

... I'm not saying your wrong, but how I choose to label you is irrelevant because you are totally wrong.
Joz, even though it's your own post, that deserves quote of the month. Ash - I've worked out what we can do - we'll get wet n wild to install one of those massive hotel-laundromat style washing machines just for you... one that has a lid that locks into place with a padlock. We'll call it "spin cycle" and you can have the very first (and last) ride. Would that be thrilling enough for you?

Hey guys, Any update on whats happening to Terror Canyon.
I was just looking around on Myfun I noticed that on Wet'n'Wild's ride page both terror Canyon 1 and 2 have been removed. Though the attractions maintenance web page still states that the Terror Canyons are still under refurbishment.

Nice quote of the month, joz :] And about terror canyon 1 & 2.. If they go i think they should replace it with something like the body slide type things with tubes. Such as this one in bali i recall going on. You could ride forwards or backwards. It was fun and i think it could go down the mountian like the body slides and terror canyons.

As mentioned in another post, which i thought i should prob mention it here seeing this is a relevant thread and i imagine someone will carry on from what i mention is The original slides will not be re opening though some pieces and sections of the slide will remain as is. That's all i can say at this point.

Well I can tell you guys now that the splashdown section will be gone and there will be open parts.
How do you stop without a splash down or run out rub? Oh and what do you mean by open parts.

Edited by cadboy

Well obviously there will be a "run out tub" but there wont be any sudden drop at the end and from what I have heard, now that the park has a full dark slide the new ride will not be so enclosed.

hey just putting my words out i dont know if this was mention but it will not be reopening due to safety concerns. Also there was some cases of stupidity that made it close down. some teenages 13-18 age has been jumping off and doing flips at the end. so they have closed it down and they are actually planning on doing somethink with it thats all i can say. cheers randy
