I asked around some of the employees and was told that some of the people who built the ride from america were trying to fix it and would be fixed withing a few days. I could see them playing around with the trains as they were where the problem was occurring.

Could be anything that's stopping them from opening it. Sometimes the maintenance crews come across problems when trying to fix problems. Hopefully during this maintenance period, they've got someone from S&S to come down and resolve the inconsistency with the on-board audio? I know it's nothing major, but I'd be pretty annoyed if my new multi-million dollar roller coaster has had faulty audio since opening day.

  • This is a comment I always take issue with!! Unless you are a park employee or ride contractor/manufacturer EVERYONE is general public. Self proclaimed enthusiast or not, you're still general public.

  • Ta for the pic. They did miss out on the steepest drop record, but at least they can claim for the worlds largest bug zapper.

I heard that the dippin dots guy was stuck underneath one of the trains... he was pushed there by management when it was decided he was getting on in years.

Or was giving away too much information about new rides :/

Noob question, & I know you're only joking here, but who is this Dippin Dots guy? Only ask because some relatives of mine own a dippin dots franchise in Brisbane, but fairly sure it's not them hahahaha! Also, does anyone know what the capacity of the GL coaster is per hour?

The Dippin Dots guy thing is a joke. It originated from people saying things like "Oh I heard from (park employee) that the new ride will be (insert ride here)" on the internet about different theme parks. So the joke has been spread with the Dippin Dots guy used as an example as a park employee.

Movie World doesn't have Dippin Dots now. So you can't blame him? What about the hotdog guy? Anywho So it States on the site "The GREEN LANTERN Coaster is currently closed for maintenance." So their is no opening date. So it must be serious.

I was taking to a mate who was at w&w today and he said he saw the trains testing running on the tracks which is an improvement over not running at all when I was at mw on tuesday

@RichardWilliamCollins I know your trying to be funny and all but your posts are starting to seem a little homophobic. And on top of that, as 'aussienetman' mentioned, the Green Lantern which has be relaunched as a gay character is NOT the Green Lantern the ride is based on so your posts about the whole Homosexual topic are insignificant.

^ I really think you are reading too much into things here

According the the maintenance page on the MW website the green lantern is not in maintanace amymore and running today :D going next week to ride it
