Arkham Asylum: Shock Therapy (Lethal Weapon Retheme)

I was thinking along the same lines...except you never come out of the building, and the loading and exiting would be done in the same way as Lethal. All the queueing (well majority) would be in the old outdoor lethal switchbacks, which then leads into the new side entrance and into the maze. After the maze, you then come out into the regular queue with the ramps that lead to the loading area (board on the same side as lethal did). Then exit opposite side and pass through the old lethal shop; which I hope will be renovated, and back in use.

What is so confusing. The entrance is where it has been recently and is staying there. The old entrance to the theatre has been themed because the exit is still the same place and you will exit the ride back there. If the park didn't theme the old entrance area people would be complaining wouldn't they. I doubt the priorities for 'upper management' are answering our questions on we're the entry and exit is when it's obvious and you can easily see for yourself soon as its open.

I am more then happy with Arkham Asylum 2D theming and a 2nd attraction for 2012 at MovieWorld.... over our parks being in enough trouble to be going bust. What appears to you as budget cuts is just a company spending wisely. Sorry but gone are the days in basically every industry of careless spending. You drop the ball in this market and BAM! Your WOW Sight n Sound in QLD or nationally DickSmith or Harvey Norman. To be honest MovieWorld is in enough of a positive financial situation to refresh an old attraction? I'll take that. To all the 'what happened to it being themed to making movies' haters well turns out that didnt work... if it did there would still be a highly active studio and a studio tour and effects show etc. Things change... get over it... stop living in the past.... because they arent coming back!

+1 It's kind of telling that when the creme de la creme movie park brand, Universal, builds a new park, but it only has one "movie making" attraction, but 5 roller coasters then that is what people want.

Are yep... Plus lets ALL be honest as much as our studio tour was a GREAT attempt.... it was NEVER and would NEVER be Universal Studios LA studio tour. That is not a studio tour its a ride and it very likely cost as much to build that one attraction as it would to build the entirity of MovieWorld.

Having seen the que theming this morning I am very impressed. After entering under Arkham Asylum archway you pass a guard desk with a guard with a tv on his head (like in the FN maze) showing a news report. Then past cells of Arkham inmates. They are appropriately themed eg. ice on Mr Freeze. You also pass some bubbling green toxic material before heading up the ramp, you see a guard hanging from the rafters, and hear themed announcements with Harley and The Joker saying no loose items ect.

Have got some photos and will post them, overall the ride is much smoother and great but the over lap harness does kinda make you feel like your feet have lost all feeling and are going to fall off at the end of the ride. As said above you walk into the que you see a window with a man with a tv on hes head, the report is a news reporter infront of the big Arkham building with the 'Joker's Funhouse' written on it and it's at night so the spotlights reflect on the building which look great, then proceeds to show an escaping inmate, then proceeds back to the news reporter then is rewinded back to the start and played again, and again. The staff are dressed as inmates with orange suits, and some are dressed as guards. When you go into the bit where the cars and barking dog used to be, there's a extra que line been added and the bubbly green machine and asylum cells (2D wallpapers). Then you proceed to the slant to the ride with the guard hanging and more 2D walls then go through the gate to the ride. The soundtrack outside is dodgy olden music (like elevator music), and the soundtrack when you enter the trains starts with the Joker telling everyone about what's going on, how he has taken over and then starts to explain loose items. Then Harley Quinn takes over and proceeds to tell you that hats, glasses etc are not allowed and then Joker takes over harley then goes back to Harley and then Joker as they communicate to each other in their matter. Then waits a few minutes, then starts up again. The people speaking the characters is pretty good, but alright. There is no 'maze' or anything so far and you don't get anywhere near the old TV room. When you exit it's just more gloomy walls, then theres the shop which has obviously been removed inside but there is a small photoshop in it which isn't open, so they tell you to go to the DC Comics store near the Green Lantern. The China Alley is still closed off but there is a lot of Joker writing on the buildings around the old entrance and a big picture of the owner of the Asylum (don't know his name) and then there is Joker writing on it crossing his name and claiming it as his then more smiles and Arkham Asylum logos on the wall etc. The strange thing is, that there was no signs that had the word 'shock therapy' on it which was weird, just Arkham Asylum logos, even on the warning sign. Here are some of my pictures I took (not the best photos as my lighting is bad on my HTC EVO 3D but it is better then nothing I guess.. post-29097-0-48130300-1333439927_thumb.jpost-29097-0-02185700-1333439938_thumb.jpost-29097-0-22462500-1333439948_thumb.jpost-29097-0-61395300-1333439960_thumb.jpost-29097-0-40750700-1333439972_thumb.jpost-29097-0-40983300-1333439983_thumb.jpost-29097-0-40666800-1333439996_thumb.jpost-29097-0-49350700-1333440007_thumb.jpost-29097-0-11658500-1333440017_thumb.jpost-29097-0-36279300-1333440026_thumb.jpost-29097-0-76888800-1333440062_thumb.jpost-29097-0-97064700-1333440070_thumb.jpost-29097-0-91507600-1333440078_thumb.jpost-29097-0-98334900-1333440088_thumb.jpost-29097-0-53183900-1333440097_thumb.j Some more photos.. post-29097-0-04252200-1333440167_thumb.jpost-29097-0-68938100-1333440176_thumb.jpost-29097-0-13622700-1333440186_thumb.jpost-29097-0-00657100-1333440196_thumb.jpost-29097-0-57327300-1333440206_thumb.jpost-29097-0-09895100-1333440216_thumb.jpost-29097-0-51183200-1333440224_thumb.jpost-29097-0-77208000-1333440234_thumb.jpost-29097-0-57294300-1333440244_thumb.jpost-29097-0-70893600-1333440257_thumb.j

So just to clarify (sorry I find it hard to picture as I haven't been there in years) but what exactly is the old queue entry area (where you used to enter the cinema) being used for? Is this now the exit to the ride? Where does the initial and main queuing take place for the ride? And can anyone confirm whether this is it finished (besides the audio)... or is there more theming etc. to come, perhaps in the old cinema room?

Yeah it's not accesible now. The theming is definitely not done, more work to do outside and in the tracks area like the tower etc. Edited by kujotess

I was pleasantly surprised with the theming. Harnesses were great, the track still has all its bumps but you don't walk off with a concussion. The 'helmets' above the seats had no sign of a speaker system as of yet. The magnetic braking compared to the old friction breaks is like night and day. post-937-0-38316400-1333444615_thumb.jpgpost-937-0-26408400-1333444650_thumb.jpgpost-937-0-39086000-1333444679_thumb.jpgpost-937-0-67065400-1333444709_thumb.jpgpost-937-0-63689900-1333444737_thumb.jpgpost-937-0-77224700-1333445249_thumb.jpgpost-937-0-09921500-1333445272_thumb.jpgpost-937-0-27561900-1333445298_thumb.jpgpost-937-0-25437600-1333445366_thumb.jpg
