Dreamworld Ride Opening Hours

Featured Replies

Not really what I'd call hail.

Gold Coast area

Partly cloudy. Medium (50%) chance of showers, most likely in the late morning and afternoon. The chance of a thunderstorm. Winds northerly 15 to 20 km/h becoming light in the morning then becoming south to southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the early afternoon.

You've got a 50/50 chance of rain. Take the risk. Or don't. I would but I have to work my last day tomorrow for the bank before I leave. Anyone want some free money? :P

  • This park just cracks me up, it's turned into complete joke of recent years.

  • Doubt it, Internet access has probably been deemed a non essential business expense, and like Operations has probably been cut from the budget....

  • I made a somewhat joke that it will be a housing estate soon enough... but really, I'd give it 5 years and it will be closed for land value.

i'm not. did that once with a trip to MW and as soon as we arrived it starting pouring down. we had to end up going into the coast to look for something to do. i think we ended up going to funtasia... <_<

there's one more week until schoolies so we'll try again next week. you won't catch me going near the coast when schoolies is on.

No rain at the theme parks today at all. Chance of a storm this evening. Same thing they said last night on the forecast. Not sure what you listen to...

Gotta remember when they give Gold Coast weather, they are referring to the seaway/southport/beaches. Oxenford/Coomera gets a lot less precipitation.

But given you are now the official Parks weather advisor, I'll leave future posts to yourself

It seems Dreamworld are making some great improvements with off peak ride hours. They currently are -

Big Red Boat - 10am - 4pm (also on weekends)

Big Red Car - 10am - 4pm (also on weekends)

Cyclone - 10am - 5pm

Giant Drop - 10am - 5pm

Log Ride 10am - 5pm

Motocoaster - 11.30am - 5pm (also on weekends)

Shockwave - 10am - 5pm

Tea Cups - 10am - 4pm (also on weekends)

Thunder River Rapids - 12pm - 4pm (also on weekends)

Vintage Cars - 12pm - 4pm (also on weekends)

Wipeout - 10am - 5pm

Thunder River Rapids is one of the best rides in the park and should not be only open for 4 hours. The only reason should be if they were fixing the Mine Ride and want to keep the Rapid Ride open.
