Movie World, January 2016

To complete a week catching up on the Gold Coast's theme parks we head along to Movie World to see all the latest changes and improvements.

Wow. I knew the stunt show was bad, but that's an all new low for a themepark show surely? 

Looks like Showtime should have stuck to the FMX and just left it at that. 

I know we can click the topic headline, but don't we normally get a 'click here to continue reading' ?

And is the park that pathetic that a brand new, only month old sign is already not being used as intended? What is today's grill?

One of the worst things for me about HWSD is that the holes for the 'flying Evo' are still clearly visible on both sides of the building, completely ruining the facades.

 

All we can do is hope and pray that the new developments will not take place in the already cluttered front apron of the park and instead utilise the severely neglected western end of the park.

^ It almost looks like that sign isn't supposed to be there, or they didn't make it with enough room to add the special. Or are we supposed to read the signs in order and today's special is always the pulled pork?

Almost like there is meant to be another sign below it saying what it is.

^ I thought that at first but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to attach another sign.

if you look at it VERY closely, under the word 'is' there is a small metal ring that you could hook another sign to. I can't see one on the other side but it could be lost in the background.

Anyone going into the park in the next few days - get a shot of that sign from a different angle!

I think I can see what you're talking about but I'm not convinced that's what it is. 

 

i may just be imagining real hard - but to me it looks like another ring under the 'D' - could just be the digital noise though...

It hasn't, its just been moved closer to the menu board/ordering area.

Did either of you manage to get a photo?

no photo of sign, only took a pic of where it was, I think I did see the "Today's Grill Is" sign in the waiting area, from what I saw there was not metal ring attached to the sign

In the photo you took the sign wouldn't likely be visible anyway as it's slightly over to the right

If its not raining, ill attempt to get a close up to confirm the presence of the rings tomorrow.
