  • It is going to be a great ride. The theme was originally supposed to be more GOT meets war craft and as with Abyss. I would have preferred something a bit dirtier/harder/solid,  given the nature

SO they took a few months to pick a name. They had 91 names on the list. The sign makers were gonna call it (insert logo here) because they couldn't pick the right name. Goliath is the name of this big ride and the ride looks very visually impressive.

I am just thrilled to finally have an Intamin ride in Perth.

Should be great fun with all the airtime the ride is going to have! :D

Its a fairly long running joke that when you go to Perth you need to turn your watch back 2 hours and 10 years...

It seems that 10 years was a conservative estimate, and it's more like 13.

Seriously though - its a nice solid addition to a park that is already growing and making leaps from strength to strength. I still think they dropped the ball on hype and marketing, but they still did a better job with teasers than Movie World (although that isn't saying much). Hopefully this has just been a new team finding their feet and their next investment receives the airtime it deserves.

Bring on "Mi4"...

Looks like it's time to change the thread name. :)

Done.

Good on them, looks like it’s going to be a great addition. I love me a good underdog story and no one deserves praise more than what these guys have done in the last few years.

I would have preferred something a bit dirtier/harder/solid,  given the nature of the ride but that's just an opinion. Well done to Phillip and the incredibly talented team at Atomiq who of course themed the Claw ride at DW and Abyss and Kraken, Theme builders and James at Creative Works,  and with the lap restraints will be a big hit this year hopefully. Fingers crossed for the team as I know they always work EXTREMELY hard on these things for each new season. Good luck and I hope it rocks!

Spot on as usual, @Mark Shaw. The font does look a little comic bookish and it.does make you wonder about the animal's head and the rest of the teaser campaign.

Unfortunately, due to motion sickness, I won't be riding it much, if at all. I just hope there's not too many other people in the same boat.

Anyone else reckon its funny that this got lap bars but Abyss didn't.

Meh, OTSRs should be a thing of the past on rides (Except where upper body support is needed)

I mean, Why add bones to boneless chicken?

I feel a ride like abyss will be a bit of a knee crusher with lap bars, but yeah, I'd still like to experience it. Anyone know what dinosaur like skulls, thorns and drums have to do with Goliath?

I'm not sure, anyone know how many seats there are on the ride? I can't find a good picture to count.
