You say raft slipped. What about the anti-rollbacks that were recently installed? it can't have slipped that far on it's own to eject someone, surely?

The police are giving a live statement at 4.  Does anybody have the link?

My hearts are with friends, family and dreamworld staff going through all of this at the moment

Dreamworld was closed at 3.45 announcing over loud speakers that police will take statements from anyone who saw anything.

Sadness and shock as Dreamworld tragedy death toll climbs to four. All ride victims were adults.

Comfirmed, three people have been killed and four have been seriously injured. It occured on the Thunder River Rapids and that section of the park is now closed.

Been following the breaking news of this incident since numerous people brought it to my attention via my blog this afternoon. Absolutely shocked and stunned. Feeling numb also over the "what ifs" running through my head. I was at the park for a few hours today, and walked past the River Rapids ride approximately 10 minutes prior to this incident taking place. Hubby and I considered going on it on the way out, but ultimately decided not to. Arrived home to this breaking news.

Can't believe it.....

The entire park has now been evacuated and closed.

reported 3 dead not 4. Although none are confirmed hope to god they are only injured.

Depends on which news outlet you listen to...  According to courier mail this ride was the one closed in April after someone almost drowned...

This is insane that this has happened. You read deaths at parks around the world but don't realise how much it hits home when you have been on that ride and it could of potentially been you. My thoughts are with the family and friends and hope that not all 4 have died.

Odd that there's no statements or comments from Dreamworld on either Facebook or Twitter. Their website appears to be pretty much down due to the load, though when it did load briefly it was the normal site.
