Mammoth Falls has now reopened, despite the website still saying its closed for Maintenance 

From Tuesday the 27th of December 2016 – Wednesday the 11th of January 2017, enjoy selected slides from 9am, with all slides and attractions opening at 9.30am. Plus, you can splash on into the evening until 6:30pm.

I don't know why they wouldn't open with those hours for even longer, until around Australia Day. The whole month the park is crazy busy, so why not take advantage of it.

Did Wet 'n' Wild Gold Coast really need to point out that selected slides open at 9am when all slides & attractions will be open 30 minutes later anyway? They could have just said 'Slides & attractions begin to open from 9am'. Given they did say 'selected slides', they could say which slides.

Not me, hahaha I wanted to write the same thing but I was being to nice. I'm just happy the parks are open more during the peak season.

Still don't get how the Sydney park can do 10am to 8pm daily through summer peak and the Gold Coast can't. Given the weather in South-East Queensland of late it would seem in their best interest to match the Sydney parks opening hours.

Both parks close around the sunset times for Sydney and Gold Coast. I would not expect WnW Gold Coast to operate as it gets dark.

I would love for WnW Gold Coast to open earlier. Have they opened earlier in any past seasons?

@pin142 Keeping in mind that Queensland doesn't operate on daylight savings time, meaning that closing at 8pm is the equivalent of closing at 9pm in NSW.

So, they would be matching Sydney's opening hours just by opening from 9am to 7pm - which both DW and WnW are ALMOST doing.

I know Wet 'N' Wild Sydney previously operated until 10pm some nights, and pretty sure In its first year it was open as late as Midnight. But have been cutting hours because the park becomes dead at night, particularly if it wasnt a hot day.

But remember there are noise restrictions in that area, so they wouldn't be able to stay open past 9pm (Can't entirely remember want thto restrictions were so someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Not a stickler but have been interested in semantics a bit lately...

I just thought it was pointless saying selected rides are open from 9am when all of them will be opening at 9:30am anyway. It is only 30 minutes difference which could include the time to enter the park, use the amenities & maybe only get 1 slide in. If it was 8:30am, I wouldn't have posted anything as 1 hour difference is enough to make you question why most slides are shut if you didn't know they would be opening in an hour's time.

Plus (adjusting for daylight savings), sunset in Sydney is 23 minutes later than Brisbane today, for instance. This being of course because Sydney sits further west. 

Was going to spend an hour or so at WnW, but finding a parking space is impossible. The large carpark outside AOS was completely full. Not even a garden bed or grass area left. Even the staff/over flow carpark to the left was completely full. Literally no where to part at midday. So didn't bother. But maybe the park should consider extending their carpark even further.

^ wow that's CRAZY. Seriously though are you insane?!??! Even if you did get in there you'd be lucky to get in the Wave pool - I'd be heading down to WWW. You might actually get on a slide?

I wasn't going to go on the slides. Was just going to checking out the Aqua Racer and Buggy progress. I had no expectations to get on any of the slides, but was on my way home, and passed by so thought I'd pop in, but didn't end up happening.

It's a shame WnW don't do Dive in movies anymore with rides etc till when the movie finished, like they used to..

Would certainly help soak up the crowds

they have better slides anyway. those little rippers alone are way funner than any slide in wnw
