Just discovered the performance platform at the front of Main Street in Movie World has been fenced off.

Might be nothing major but interesting still.

Also following the external refurbishment of the Warner Bros. Department Store, various other buildings along Main Street are getting facade refurbishments. No major changes that I've seen yet. Just refresh and maintenance.

 

They quickly finished their works on the whole of the building, as a week ago the whole front was covered. Then I know at the end of the week it was just the right side, and now the left. Good to see though.

I imagine that area at the front of the street is just removing the stage as the Gatsby show is finished

The Stage is used for the parade, and VIP areas at the night events. Seems strange to remove it

My guess is the area is being improved. Maybe not so much improved, possibly something a little more permanent and versatile

What's more permanent than the already permanent stage?

But it isn't/wasn't a permanent fixture as it was? 

Really? I thought it was built as a proper fixed stage? Never seen it removed since it got there and just assumed it was perm. 

Maybe it is to prevent simpletons from falling and attempting to get money as a result.

I think the stage is actually being removed. They will be using the area for something else.

The whole area has been cleared and grass has been put down. 

Now something is happening on the other side as well 😂

Garden beds are leading cause of killer shin grazes in theme parks, so i'm told.

@Slick did that side still have garden beds? I thought they had already been removed. I recall park benches/tables and a bar being there after they put all the fake grass down, but yeah, clearly my memory deceives me with the garden beds 😂

Hey it's easy to trip over a garden bed when your playing Pokemon Go. 

Just dug up this old photo from earlier in the year. Yep, I see bricks and flowers 😂 So looks like you're right, @Slick... let's face it, even if they did add "keep off" signs, people with little common sense will still look for reasons to blame the park if they injure themselves on them 😑

Please tell me this isn't going to be like king George square where they take away the last of the greenery and replace it with concrete. 

I doubt they'd do that, I assume that they have removed the grass because it was fitted around the plant boxes and required completely relaying 

Not to mention machinery tearing it up. You would expect it to look like the other side with tables and chairs. Certainly solves the lack of shaded areas to eat lunch in.

Nah, they will paint the concrete green instead of leaving it grey.

They could be moving the stage to the other side, also there is a new coke refill station going to the Gotham city cafe.

Maybe it's just my reddit elitism, but why are we downvoting someone just because we don't agree with them? Save it for when people post incoherent garbage, not well spoken opinion.

I don't agree with getting rid of the refill station, but it's a good point that soft drink is actually pretty bad for your health, it's a valid concern. I'm not really in the know as I usually only buy soft drink at parks, but what alternatives do MW offer (besides water).
