DC Rivals HyperCoaster construction discussion

Featured Replies

Wow. Can't believe it's almost fully constructed. Felt like yesterday we were excited they were digging holes and now they're about to place the final track.

C'mon dont be a pussy bitch, you need to ride it at least once.

But that isn't going to stop me from riding it.

Oh trust me, I wont be a pussy bitch, and I'll be riding this more than once.

Here's my update. Large crane isn't in use at the moment, while preparations on the final pieces are made, particularly with the very top piece.

Only a tiny bit to go now 😁

The bit that protrudes to the right of red circle still needs to be installed prior to the final two pieces of track.

Going to be interesting line that final join up, 60 metres in the air. Hopefully the two pieces aren't out by too much.

Don't think it takes a genius to point out aquaman (although if @pushbutton couldn't work it out yesterday maybe he does need it to be pointed out for him), but the other two are certainly intriguing me. The forest-y one could be Poison Ivy or (very unlikely) swamp thing, I have no clue who that giant robot head is or who the little people around him are (the Atom perhaps?).

After doing some research it seems as if it is Brainiac's Skull Ship? I have no clue about it.. I hope the theming tells us some facts about these rivals because I don't know many.

yep that's what it is

Brainiac is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, usually as an adversary of Superman and as a frequent enemy of the Justice League.

It is indeed Brainiac's ship. The two 'people' you can see flying around the ship may be Brainiac's drone robots.

I wonder if this queue area theming will have wrist band interactivity like the Villains area?

Also, I'm another in the 'damn that's high' group - even after seeing the video and knowing Hypers get to 60+metres:

Damn, that's high.

Definitely Brainiac (hasn't appeared in any DC movies or tv shows, nor is planned for the JL movie). He is a pretty well known villain though to those familiar with the Superman and JL comic series.

Zooming in it definitely looks like Poison Ivy in the forest scene.

Hoping we see a bit more intricate/3D statues of some characters, and not just GL level theming, even if it's only a couple of the major players (Bats, Supes, Joker, Catwoman) inside the queue house

I agree @Brad2912, and what would make it even better, is there was a theming element of sorts as you begin to move from the loading platform, just before the lift hill, whether it is through screens, animatronics, sound effects, etc. That would really add to it. The ride is all about the experience the track will provide,  but anything else they add, will really add to the whole experience.

they should have put brainiacs skull at the top of the lift hill instead of the jokers face. imagine dropping down that plunge under a huge metal skull way cooler!

But no one knows who Braniac is. It would be the dumbest idea ever.

I disagree with that, he's a very big character in comics, but few people would know that that skull is his ship (not denying it would look very cool though)

Big metal skull might make the general public think it's knocking off the Tower of Terror (II).

^ Holy crap. First pic of the almost completed hill and drop that gives me a real sense of the scale of this thing. Amazing.

Yeh seriously guys the photos do not do this justice at all, this lift hill is a fucken monster!

It's crazy how far back on M1 heading towards Movieworld from north and southbound you can see this thing.
