Quick public service announcement

If you haven't noticed, we've split off all the recent track colour, theme and announcement speculation:

If you want to speculate and throw random ideas out there, that's the place. Let's try and keep this topic more related to construction updates, observations and related discussions.

We don't change usernames on request anymore @AlexB. Hit up Account Settings if you feel like using those Parkz Crew perks to become AlexC. And thanks @Skeeta! I can't tell you how many times I've had to figure out how to spell 'fly' backwards to tag you in posts. You shouldn't be required to pass a sobriety test to use Parkz...

Great to hear a large crane is now on site, if the weather is kind to us early next week, hopefully we will begin to see supports being put in place. There are already a dozen on site, which were in one container, so maybe once the cyclone has passed we will see even more appear, followed by track. As some have said, I imagine those first few pieces were to check over, so I imagine the rest will start to appear on a daily basis.

I'm about to go away for work and won't be able to do an update for a while.  I know @djrappa will be the most upset with this news so I dedicate this mini update to him.

Loads of work happening on site today, all getting ready to go upwards.

The gutter that was cut last week has now been removed.

Roadbase being placed down so the cranes can drive around the coaster area. (I think that would be the reason)

A new larger crane has now arrived and sits inside the coaster area ready to go to work.

Great, very exciting stuff. Any chance to get some pics?

I had a chat with it and seems it had a rough night and was a bit down but has perked up today and is doing well.

Let her know if she needs anything I'm always here to listen 💋❤️

Just went for a look at the site while sussing out the floodwater.

Heaps of track pieces onsite now, i'd say about 10, they were also unloading a container of about 6 or 8 supports at the time. More digging going on clearing what i think has been determined as the entrance into the track area as well. Plenty going on around the site.

No photos sorry guys.

So here is this evenings update.

10 pieces of track now on site. Around 20 columns, some featuring large bases. In the corner of the site, gravel has been removed, along with the roads curb. A couple of diggers on the coaster site, but no large crane (They are at Top Golf). Also added the picture showing the pipes sticking out the ground around the stations location. As the sun was setting and only had my phone, lighting and quality isn't the best, so hopefully @Theme Park Girl can get some better ones tomorrow. They have also cut the grass (very exciting stuff) on the overflow carpark, and inserted some posts, in preparation for the Easter rush.

Looks like Magician got there before I could. I got pretty much the same pictures but just better quality. No point posting though, so here are some he didn't get.

Removing the last photo which was similar to one already posted.

Again this thread is about the progress of the coaster construction. Anything not about that is going to get deleted or moved.

Mack track with with extra depth to the spine.      LOOP?

On the Lewa Hyper I only spot this spine on the loop and the where the coaster turns back.

Whatever it is it's a high force section.

I had a look at flash and yes, they do have a thicker spine on the loop, however that isn't the only place. It is also on the first drop & turn around, so I'm assuming they use a thicker spine where the most G's are.

I did mention the turn around but I believe the dia of the track looks to tight for the bottom of the first drop.  Most of the tack numbering looks like all this track will be close together at least.   @Richard  Where do you think track 1 would start?  My guess would be as it leaves the station but that would only be a guess.

Would love to know what's going on here! New entrance to the carpark? Or just expanding it, since they have had no luck so far getting the new one approved? 🤔

Will do 😆 Although I think these ones look fine anyways! Will be interesting to see what new progress has been made by the time I get there tomorrow ☺️👍

That track looks far too tight to be part of the drop, loop, or any of the earlier elements of the ride. I'd put my money on that being towards the end of the ride, perhaps between bunny-hops or something.

That's a good point @Theme Park Girl, one I hadn't actually considered, as I did wonder what they would do while track pieces were being lifted over the road. I'm thinking that this will be made a temporary entrance while the track is moved, and once over the road they could reopen the main road if needed.

@Theme Park Girl & @themagician Don't forget how narrow the site is from the first drop.  I expect the crane to be located on the road when this track is lifted into place.  This might be the new entrance for the next 6 months or they might open and close the new entry as needed.  If it was me I would shut down the road the whole time.

This might be the location the crane will be driving in and out so you don't have guest and workers close to each other at the front of the park. (I added this bit to keep the guessing going)

@themagician I don't know what has happened to my big crane that was on site during the week.  It was parked halfway along the coaster between the footings.  Maybe they wanted to make sure they could move it in around the site.

At the moment I am happy not to call the earlier track part of a loop.  If we come across track with a deep spine and no connection points to supports that would indicate the top of a loop.

Maybe they removed it due to the storms and were worried for it Falling over or it sinking in the mud. I do doubt they would bring it all to site to try it out and then return it. All these things are figured out before hand. But I do imagine it would be positioned on the road, and would drive around the road as the coaster develops.

For people trying to put the pieces together this might help you to locate the pieces on track.

The centre support in the loading station is support number 1 labeled K001 (The track count and support count both start from the middle of the station.

The last footing is support is K193

The track and support count goes clockwise.  The same direction the ride will run.

The current supports on site are around: K073

kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.PNG.b9bd0063af7ec76b506e406fb8ffb64c.PNG

Also the K supports are not for the maintenance bay.

If you are trying to work out the track location you will have to do the math yourself but my thinking is each container is 12m long so each track section is between 10m - 12m approx.  Don't forget to add to the track required each time the track goes up or down.:P

To go with the track info in green/blue you can see the centre of the track start on 0m and ends on 1365m the support before.  I don't know if this it the track length or the length on ground.
