Looking at photos and videos of the flash,  and comparing it to footings on site now, I'm going to say that the left part of the coaster in the image above will be similar in the coaster we get and would happen here

If the coaster does have an inversion, similar to the barrel roll on the flash, it would happen around here

And the top of the lift hill and the large banking drop will happen here 

This is all just speculation and comparing the footings, so obviously could be wrong.

The footings on this coaster are capped individually and capped as a group makes it harder for people to compare the footings to the flash.  I try treat each footing individually and it still confuses me.

In five days we'll at least how much the grass has grown by, I reckon a couple of mm at least.

I don't think there will be any surprises when it is announced; I'll be interested to see what the customisations are on the base Flash model. Whether it's different (or more) elements or just making that style of coaster fit the MW site or both. 

MW will cut it soon.  Who would like to be walking through that tall grass trying to install a coaster?

Even if the grass doesn’t get cut it will be closer to installation.

^LOL maybe it will have a Raptor theme with them hiding in the tall grass...or Triffids.

I'm hearing some new state laws that are yet to be passed on amusement rides may impact this project, anyone know more? (LOL I sound like Screamscape).

Yeah, theme parks are not allowed to install coasters, that are a rehash of coasters all ready done to death, only bigger.

Just drove past. Ride on mower cutting the grass 3 utes in the area.  Most activity theres been for a while.

When I went past not that long ago there were a number of workmen, doing what appeared to be using a strimmer on some parts of it

@themagician How many workmen did you see?

@YLFATEEKS 3 or 4, and there was a ute too. I didn't drive into MW to see, just observed while stopped at the lights

Was expecting you to say like 10-15 workmen..

if i say "a number of...." it's usually because I can't be bothered counting the total number, but counting to 3 or 4 isn't too strenuous on my brain..

Could we maybe get a livestream set up to watch this grass? I need up to the second updates on #grasswatch2017 as the situation develops.

Hahaha. I think its hilarious how excited we are all getting over something like grass being mowed. I bet park management would be getting a real kick out of reading these posts right now ?

File this under the pure drunken speculation folder but what if the announcement is 'delayed' (as some are assuming) and as perhaps evidenced by the pre-announcement announcement the other day because Movie World saw the ire and confusion that came out of having a 'hyper' coaster be a couple of feet short of 200 feet among die hard coaster fans and quickly got on the horn to Mack to see if they couldn't up it a few feet without impacting the location of the support foundations? We all remember the kerfuffle about Green Lantern's "record breaking" drop angle and all the back and forth with that, so maybe they're just trying to avoid potential embarrassment of announcing an 'under 200 foot hyper' to the press and public?

They can't change it because making a bigger lift hill would result in the lift hill being longer meaning the footings would need to move or they would need to re make the track which most likely is finished or closed to finishing. (Maybe they have painting or something to go)

I think you can make a ride taller without moving supports by just changing the angle of the lift hill to be slightly steeper?

You would have to remake the track and supports though. I reckon its pretty safe to say that the layout of the track is locked in by now.

Or just be angling the supports that 1 extra degree

The layout and track was locked in for GL, there was just confusion what record it held, whether it was in the world or Southern Hemisphere

I wouldn't stress too much peeps - the elevation of the Train above the track will put you above your precious holy grail of 200 feet ?

I went today as well and noticed them cutting the grass - haha! Anyway, things are looking really slow on the site. Hopefully some track will arrive sometime within the next week or so.

I keep looking at the footings and still feel quite confident that we'll see the lift hill run along the back of JL towards the M1, and a 90-degree right turn on the first drop. Not sure what will follow after that, but I am super excited!
