Hey guys according to sunshine coast daily construction on that sunshine coast park from a while back is set to commence on Steve Irwin Way here is the link to the article.

Haven't we already had a photo of the site posted recently? Or was that another park/

Looks like the same project. 450 million seems ridiculous for what is essentially a water/active park. Or is this figure part of a Hotel/retail/dining development?

I think it is just the park although hotel and retail development would be cool.

I was hunting for it earlier as I was sure it had been as well...

I know I saw a photo of it recently and while I wasn't able to find it, I did find these.

a soccer field in a water park? now i've seen everything!

It's not in the Water Park.  Stage 1 includes a Water Park and an open field that are near to each other. 

The Water Park is a small part of what Actventure Park is.  The soccer field as you call it(Green Area) is a multipurpose area for things like sports and concerts.

 

 

A lot of the buildings will be rented out.

Yay, something legit for a change though that seems like it's not a land grab.

Really reminds me of Universal Orlando's Citywalk with the lake and shops around it. Let's hope it turns into something decent (or just turns into something...).

I would hate to drop my fork while high dining.

That floating table would be a great place to put your kids why you go ride some slides.  "Kids I will be back in an hour or 2.  Don't go anywhere".

I didn't get a chance to do it at Bathurst in 2014 - looked like fun.
(No I'm not a FPR fan.)

 

They set it up in Perth then the council shut it down I believe because they didn't file proper permits.
