It’s DW, we are talking boxes with screens...

there is nothing wow about those announcements whatsoever as they are just a dot point list of detail-less ideas.

Immersive high quality family rides sounds great, but Dw’s Idea of that is a kiddie Ferris wheel overlooking a river...

Well, we can always DREAM! I'd really like to believe some of these will actually turn out to be brilliant.

Time will tell.

Good to hear the log ride will be open in time for Christmas, and that all the thrill rides will be too.

Maybe we will be seeing a new attraction next year, based off what they are saying will be there focus. It is a shame that they won’t be exploring the thrill market for a while (based off what was said), but I’m sure one day they will again.

A immersive quality family ride would cost just as much as a thrill ride would (if not more).

I think it’s a chosen direction to move away from thrills are a reaction to what has occurred, at least for the short-medium term

Food for thought, If the move away from thrills rides is indeed due to the negative stigma they may bring due to the accident, let’s remember TRR was a family ride..

Simulator rides sound interesting, as long as they're not an additional cost on top of the price of entry.  It would be cool if they were part of a dark ride or flying theatre.  If it's anything like Zero Latency or any of the VR theme park attractions, that too would be great. It will be interesting to see how much money they're willing to throw at it.

@themagician I think another reason why they are not going for the thrill market as they know how costly it would be for them to compete with movie world. So they are going a different route.

The right route I think, if they do it properly.

Correct but mention a rollercoaster or thrill ride to general public and they question the safety of it.

I would say they will stay away from a new Thrill Attraction until they have been able to recover more and remove the old ride and the legal side of things has ended. Once all of that is done they could build a thrill ride with minimal referenced to the incident to stain their reputation further.

There's more to theme parks than thrill rides! If they do what they say they will and they do it well, it could be fantastic.

Well, I dare to assume positive thoughts until I see reason not to. Even if I have to do so in a Warner Brothers inspired pure imagination!

Seems like the new kids precinct will be themed to Trolls.

As stated in the parkz article - "Their first new addition in this space is an area under construction in the far corner of Dreamworld's Ocean Parade area. "I can tell you it will be a precinct aimed at little kids. It'll be a really cool activation of one of their brands. "The attraction is yet another that relies on licensed brands, which Mr Davidson believes is a key strategy for Dreamworld. "Ultimately licensing and simulation I think is a really good place for us to be in the short term."

Hi there have been reading these forums for a really long time but I have only have had the courage to start posting.

I think this will be a great precinct for kids but I don't think this is the right spot being in an area populated by thrill rides.

It is not populated by thrill rides at the moment. (At least not ones that arent closed for maintenance)

I’m ok with the location, at the end of the day there isn’t a lot a room available within the current DreamWorks area, and it’s only a stones throw from the bumper cars which is part of DreamWorks.

My issue is the temporary nature.

Trolls is a strong licence to use, it has nostalgia for adults who grew up during the initial release and the movie/music was a success.

I’d have rather they utilise the license for a permanent attraction.

My guess is it is a Xmas themed Experience of some sort to tie in with the recent straight to dvd short-film that was released a couple weeks back

Nothing has changed on Trolls so nothing to report

Engineers were working on TailSpin when I checked on it earlier, It always feels weird seeing this ride without the planes attached CB057C4D-B785-459B-8EE4-E8627C32D811.thumb.jpeg.b8051cfbe6b5e3cf6967dfee6cceb86e.jpeg

Finally to conclude on this update, Not sure how long this painting has been up for, but it’s a pretty cool and worth mentioning EA635F40-AECA-47BF-B13F-6ED812F2A027.thumb.jpeg.bd7b421257eb4ccaddf17ce3cbf8204e.jpeg

I’m pretty sure they are just the signs they already had in the ride (or new replacements).
