The jobs advertised for the waterpark are a three month contact only.

Careers page does not mention anything about three months for lifeguard or slide attendant.

I think it'll be back of house, maybe some cleaners and shop staff if anything. I'll wait tho so see if this is indeed true about the redundancies however.

Quote from their jobs web site.

‘join our attractions and aquatics teams on a Part Time/Maximum term basis with contracts until July 2019.’

Since Monday there has been mostly full time staff from retail department and administration made redundant .......’apparently’

More redundancies to come,....’apparently’

So much for the image portrayed post-incident of 'caring for their stafffamily'

They've saved them from a burning building only to board them onto a sinking ship.

From all reports they stopped looking after the staff, even the ones involved in the tragedy the second the cameras stopped rolling.

The place disgusts me

That is exactly what happened.

Does anyone know what happened to the memorial Dreamworld promised not long after the tragedy?

To me it looks like once again they've missed a glaringly obvious opportunity.

They could at least have come up with a nice plaque or similar  surrounded by beautiful flowers, and yes it could have a few suitable benches or something, and a bit of shading, and then I think I'd have been much more accepting of that as a replacement for SkyVoyager.

But no. Instead, no plaque but just a "Piss-Weak World" style shaded seating area!

The victim's families probably told Dreamworld no, if I had lost my loved ones due to the park's incompetence I wouldn't want them building a memorial there.

I've never understood the park driving the memorial idea.

It should have been "if they want one, we will make the space and fund it", nothing more.

Investigations found that Dreamworld lacked the necessary management capability and maintenance program to keep flowers alive.
