^Yeah, look.... "citation needed" - but there's a reason Disney always exits you through a gift shop, and that's also the reason why many of our parks have shops at exits. Its a proven formula.

Low attendance and low revenues put pressure on department heads to cut costs, and saving on staffing by having less shops open is a no-brainer - but that doesn't mean those shops don't make money when they're open.

As for superman, it was always a stupid idea to exit through a gift shop when you don't permit loose articles... unless you come back through the locker room first. stupid design decried from day one.

Just out of curiosity, back when the AA was Lethal Weapon, did that version of the ride ever have an exit store or any form of store (food or merch) within the China Town area?

I got to visit DW today for the first time in a while (been more than a year).

There was an Excavator tearing apart the Ampitheatre area by the old Carpark entry.

WORRY NOT! Dear Cannonball Express fans, I believe your beloved Train is safe, at least for now, but not sure of condition the track around that side is presently in? Hopefully still in tact?

The clearing appears to be isolated to wiping out the Ampitheatre, possibly adjacent Blue Lagoon too,  frankly this is a good thing right?

Train is safe, the track recently had some big $$$ spent on it near that section, so unless a large piece of the amphitheatre falls on the track with force, it will be fine.

That's good to know! Stands to reason why the Train is not currently operating, given the demolition.

it seems like such a shame. that ampitheatre was well equipped for shows. and instead they set up portable stages next to the claw and jam up main street.

I guess with the old brock's garage its a much better multipurpose space, whereas the ampitheatre, with the sloped seating is really only suitable for stage shows - much like the Showstage at MW. So much wasted space with that seating area walled off.
