You are right about dcr but now paid out as per the vrl accounts. Yes there is one contract (purchase or lease) for track and another for construction . Should be able to source that info on ardent accounts. I’ll take a look . The track is saleable if purchased outright in current state and a discounted price probably .  Best case the construction will just be put on hold  to a later date.

This morning I was invited out to Dreamworld to get a sneak peek of Steel Taipan and a walk through of the entire area. I’ll start out by saying, overall they’ve done a good job with the area. It’s ve

With the parks closure, DW should try keep the hype going for upcoming attractions etc, to get people excited about new things when the park reopens. I think they should take this opportunity to announce the attractions name/theme and start sharing posts that ride parts are beginning to arrive. Even if construction won’t begin for a while, at least get the hype train going

There are other parts near BuzzSaw too, including the bolts that secure the columns into the foundations

The less 800+kg pieces are being kept over near the site itself, somewhere within the parks fence. There's also a pile of wood beams sitting there for them to rest more support pieces on

Nothing says asshole more then somebody breaking lockdown rules during a pandemic to take some photos.

Yeah, would suck to be one of those assholes. Luckily I was on my way past there anyway

If the LEGO store was open, what’s to say he didn’t take the pictures when leaving?

That's just you rationalising why it's ok.  But I suspect that wasn't even the case.

Question?  Do you live or work on the Gold Coast?

Didn't happen or he would have said so.

Yeah, plus its not like it's bondi beach with 10,000 other people there - the place is clearly a ghost town, plus since they kept the lego store open, there are people going through there regularly.

A short detour to provide a much anticipated update to a large number of people who are currently unable to travel is harmless. Don't be such a sourpuss Skeet.

Is your wife in the habit of licking rollercoaster supports? Because if not, this shouldn't affect her.

I get being cautious mate, especially with such a vulnerable person in your household. But shops are still open (including Lego) and people are still visiting them, whilst taking precautions. At the start of all this, people weren't taking it seriously and it was scary to go anywhere because disgusting people were germing all over the place.

On sunday I had to go to bunnings for an essential item. They had several rows of carparks cordoned off. markings on the ground indicating spacing. and everyone in that line was keeping distance and observing the appropriate distancing requirements. I'm quite positive if anyone had attempted to flout those rules several people would have beaten that person to death with empty gas bottles. The public mood has changed.

I've looked at photos posted by about 3-4 different sources now, and there's not one other person visible in the photos that I can make out. I'd say they're exercising social distancing pretty well.

But what would you rather - 2-3 enthusiasts who are passing by make a quick stop, snap a couple of photos on their own and move on, or hundreds of enthusiasts who see a post saying 'containers on site' without any further photos showing what's there, whose curiosity drives them all down to go have a look see?

These few posts showing what's there has probably stopped dozens of others going there for a stickybeak.

If it makes it better, I’m one of those essential workers and I’m exposed to hundreds (sometimes thousands) of people a day. So me stopping by on my way to said work, especially at 6am when there is no one around, won’t impact anyone.

But I do get your point @Skeeta
