They should play a sound track of workers using tools, so it sounds like they are working on it

For those curious, very impressed with the transparency/communication. Although I already purchased a PAD Passholder ticket haha.

In regards to the gondola for the west side of drop:

The gondola is looking slick. Brand new overhead canopy that's larger than the ones on the east side (which explains the reason behind extra arms coming off the flat yellow part between the seats and the catch car to hold it up). It has a black finish, but also has the words "Giant Drop" meshed into it (is it there to cast a shadow on riders? who knows). Just like The Claw, it too has received newly replaced harnesses and seatbelts.

So assume the other side will be going down for replacement once the West side opens?

i’m assuming both will be operating during the summer holidays then once the summer holidays are over the east side of the tour will go down for replacement

East side of drop may need some work.

Yesterday, they were only operating with 5 seats because one of the seatbelts frayed (this would've happened during Happy Halloween the day before, coz they operated all 8 seats earlier that day with no issue whatsoever).

Seats 1 to 6 were fine, but seat 7 had the issue. And since you have to balance out the ride, it left seats 1, 7 and 8 unavailable.

A seatbelt doesn’t fray overnight, it’s a long gradual process - over months and years. I personally don’t think the park would be waiting until the “oh this is so frayed it no longer works” stage to replace it, detailed inspections would take place and replacements installed during annual maintenance

Nope. Plain and simple once identified, it'd be tagged out until inspected.

Some safety webbing can have a certain tolerance of failure - so minor abrading and fraying doesn't necessarily compromise the entire strap, but I'm not sure that applies to seatbelts and it would be a case of 'not picked up' one day and then 'tagged out' the next when it is identified. The fraying could be very minor, but if it goes beyond an acceptable tolerance, its no longer safe. One doesn't need to wait until the fraying reaches ' weeks and months ' to tag something out.

I know an operator who tagged out a gondola on a flat ride because they noticed it was sitting higher off the ground than the others. Maintenance attended, and determined the cause was - the ground was lower at that section (the ride was level, the ground wasn't) and everything was fine - but it is far better to err on the side of caution.

It is far better to take something out of service until maintenance signs off on it, than to think 'it's probably fine' and end up killing people.

It Got stuck tonight, over 10 minutes at the top and now the "top" is stuck coming down it seems.

Edit: tops coming down very, very slowly now about 5 minutes after the gondola dropped

Brought out of maintenance too soon maybe 😳
