  1. I've experienced a 3 hour journey at six flags... and that was just a queue house with little theming at all. Just because Disney and Universal can pull it off, doesn't make our parks 'poor' by comparison. Most parks around the world would be 'poor' by comparison to these two. I agree that a lot of the magic has gone out of the parks, but at the end of the day - they had to do this to survive. Although Gremlins and Bermuda and Looney Tunes were a great story with great magic, the general population wanted thrill rides - roller coasters and the like. In order to survive this is what the parks give them. It was too costly to maintain the nostalgic greats of yesteryear when the ridership was slowly dwindling into nothingness. Simplistic theming that is cheap to maintain is the way of the future for these parks. they cannot afford to spend so much on annual refurbs as they used to. As for the people in the park, if they capped the numbers lower than they do, they could not afford to offer the attractions that they do now. Would you rather all attractions ran on a 1 hour on, 1 hour off cycle to save on staff and running costs, but have less people in the park? No - because although there would be less people, there would be less rides to soak them up too. I'm with Alex on this one.

  2. No thanks! Dreamworld has truly become the home of the spin & spew ride. Not interested at all. Now, when will Sea World's water coaster be open?

  3. I know I'm flogging a dead horse but I think they could go a long way towards fixing the perception of over crowding by moving the ice skating out of the central plaza. Considering the whole event is based on entertainment in that small space I'd have thought having as much of it free as possible would be a good idea. I'm not saying get rid of it (so long as people are spending money there's no hope of getting rid of it), but it should be moved somewhere else in the park (near superman, or in the now blocked off entrance to Lethal Ally. That would take a lot of pressure off main street and I think would really help with the over crowding.

  4. I still think that the "whats up" looney toon stage show should be in the old river ride building and then that frees up that shed for a indoor ride which would give that area an additional ride. (Which is more then needed)

  5. I'm guessing they will. In the past, on previous new attraction openings, such as Buzzsaw, and Shockwave they have provided it, and I'm guessing this will be no different. Q4U is great, I've used it in the past and it can really help your day go smoother. Source: en.wikipedia.org

  6. I struggle to understand themepark websites sometimes. There seems to be a need to question everybody and be as big of a smart ass as possible. This website works as a good example on occasion. Or you can just go to any TPR youtube video and see Rob deriding some 13 year old kid over asking a question or making a comment and getting 100 likes for it. Seems to spread accross the whole themepark 'community'. New Dreamworks area looks fantastic though. They have done a really great job of squeezing everything into a very tight space. Haven't see Madagascar or Kung Fu Panda (movies), but the areas both look superior to the Shrek section.
