  1. Here Is a great article by the GCB that tells us absolutely nothing.. $15mil expansion announced for Dreamworld’s WhiteWater World water park NOVEMBER 27, 2018 Developers are already digging out the foundations for the new attraction, which looks set to expand onto vacant land behind WhiteWater World. Dreamworld's Project Manager Holly Evans says work has already begun on their latest attraction. Photo: Supplied Organisers say the development will take guests to a “tropical oasis” with a combination of features “never before seen in similar attractions around the world”. Dreamworld CEO John Osborne said the work wouldn’t stop guests from visiting the water park during its 12-month build. “The park will operate as normal during the construction of the new attraction and won’t have any impact on existing attractions at Dreamworld or WhiteWater World,” he said. It’s a big step for new Project Manager Holly Evans, and one which makes her the youngest in her team of six at just 27 years old. “This is such a rewarding role because I get to use my engineering and project management skills as well as utilising my creative flare,” she said. “Our projects create enjoyment and happiness for our guests and I find that very rewarding.” The expansion joins the soon so open flying theatre “Sky Voyager” as the latest developments for Dreamworld’s parks. More details on the new attraction will be available early next year.

  2. So is it confirmed anywhere that it is floating through animal enclosures, or have we just gone off on a wild tangent that has been mistaken for fact?

  3. Corroboree is always a long work no matter which way you go. What they should have done is sell DW after they realised how incompetent they are. The problem with that is only a competent person would know that they are incompetent.

  4. Wall wrap is wall wrap. Bunnings is probably one of the cheaper suppliers - and they probably sell it cheaper because it does have their name plastered all over it. Why pay more?

  5. What the hell? This park used to be the pinnacle of crowdflow because the whole park was designed as a giant loop made up of smaller loops in the specific areas. This is just blowing my mind how management have fucked pretty much every aspect of a theme park.

  6. Hi! Please help me graduate and fulfill my market research project for my MBA course by filling out this survey as part of our major course requirements. The goal of the research is to identify the factors affecting theme park attendance in Singapore and Australia. Since theme parks play a vital role in improving the tourism image of the country, my research aims to help the theme park industry in identifying which area they can focus their strategies on based on the latest perception of theme park visitors and eventually add value to the country’s tourism. Once completed, I will also be very happy to share the results of my research. Here's the link: (Australia) https://goo.gl/forms/AsT2pq43YookcOPj1 Suggestions and other information are also welcome. Thank you!

  8. Sorry, I'll make sure everything is tagged as sarcasm in the future to avoid confusion.

  9. ^then people would just be bitching about the long walk to corroboree. What they should have done was opened an alternative path, even if it crossed the rail line, and suitably fenced it so people still had direct access to Rocky Hollow.

  10. And that’s not the parks fault as such, KMG have never produced a park version of the Inversion. Even their XXL park models still look like transportable pieces.

  11. The other way would be to coordinate the maintenance of those attractions with the path closure.

  12. It's good to see DW's project engineer has no experience in theme parks.

  13. Because they are still trying to increase attendance. Simple media tactic to remind people they are open 364 days a year. Hahahhahahaha It will probably be a combination of over the top ride restraints no one else in the word has.

  14. Roof is on, and I would assume the interior fit out is further along than that image despite being posted on DW Social yesterday.

  18. That's disgusting. They should absolutely be running the train during these works. If the train isn't running, then they should built temporary fence, or crowd barriers along the train line to allow people to bypass the demolition works. Hell - even if they pulled out the shunting loco, and just ran it as a shuttle to and from central and rocky hollow (contra-flow) it'd be better.

  23. It seems like someone pops in at least once a year to take advantage of the captive audience here, and this is normally their first (and sometimes only) post. I think a longer term member did ask for input on a research project at one point, but i think the difference was that they engaged with the community and were known - so it was more 'helping out a friend' than 'answer a random survey'. I'm very sorry, but its a no from me. Good luck with your project.
