  1. I visited the park today for the first time since Shaun was introduced. And I was very impressed with how it was all intergrated into the park and I love all the figures throughout the park

  7. I came across a question and response on Facebook in regards to the SX360 opening. Had to laugh that they went with “that line” but glad they went on to expand on it:

  10. Good news: because of the busy holidays Wild West rosdhouse is open Bad news: A frames are taking over the park once again And something I noticed, despite their being some of the events activities in the AA courtyard, with the ride closed. Absolutely no one in going into this space. They should have some show or activity running in this area.

  11. Who said it was the wrong place? This is an opinion. According to Push, everyone is entitled to have one unless he disagrees with it. I expressed mine that it probably could have gone into off-topic topic... you know: And before we bring it up: i won't pull the dictionary definition, but its a bigger stretch than "Dreamworld's Big 9" if you want to say my comment was chastising him. The last off-topic discussion was about the screen in MW, which had 5 on-topic posts about the thread. I haven't bothered to count but this probably got a similar number. While we're on the topic of moderating - "the latest dreamworld stuff-up" as a topic could relate to so many things (it's dreamworld), and could very easily become a mega thread as others use it to post "the latest dreamworld stuff up". Happy Friday everyone!

  13. Village doesn't own the Wet'n'Wild name in the US so that's a different set of circumstances. The Sydney local market directly impacts the Gold Coast tourism market unlike regional US water parks that have no bearing whatsoever on each other. Maintaining complete ownership of the Wet'n'Wild name in Australia would have been very important to Village in this deal. Not sure why anyone would feel disappointed about losing the WNW name in Sydney. VRTP did their very best to destroy the brand and associated goodwill with that park. It's just a name, logically it was always going to happen and it's in everyone's best interests. Village can restore faith in the WNW brand by investing at the Gold Coast (we're waiting...), Parques Reunidos can draw a line in the sand and operate Raging Waters without the baggage of six failed seasons (they get to disappoint people on their own terms).

  14. So it DOES tell you that either there's no information to provide, or there is but the person responding doesn't know or isn't allowed to share it?

  15. The Entertainment Manager at DW was made redundant with another 3 managers last Thursday. Manager had been working at DW for over 25 years. Was responsible for all aspects including audio gear. More cost cutting and more clean out.
