Better shots during the night

Winterfest Nights... It seems they sold a lot less tickets this time despite selling out. Previous complaints were about the extensive queue times but they were not too large (excluding tot2 having a 2 and a half hour wait. I managed a ride on tot 2 with a 5 minute wait but that was just 20 minutes into the event. I also managed Giant Drop twice. Only one side was operation but the queue was 10 to 15 minutes so I wasn’t too bothered. Buzzsaw had a small 5-15 minute queue most of the night as well so I got one ride on that. The cheap fake band was subpar at best, I didn’t really enjoy it and the audio was extremely loud. The toboggan had a queue for the majority of the night. The food stalls included a fairly floss stand and 2 other stands as seen in the video (gourmet hot dog and another stall). This was a bit of a let down seeing they were advertising food trucks but oh well. Dreamworld’s food market had a large queue (due to slow operations) and had doughnuts, sausages, wine and pretzels on offer. All the lighting was great and good looking. Dreamworld pulled out the large spotlights that make the event feel alive. There was a lot of filming going on, especially by @Slick. Overall the event was great and a step in the right direction. The CEO and COO were also in attendance.

Just to add a little further to the discussion, Aussie World still are not releasing the opening date for the SX360. The impending arrival of the new spinning Wild Mouse coaster is at hand but this will not open until next year- when next year is open to conjecture. Are they anticipating delays before this is even built perhaps?

Yeah I totally agree, I think these people need to work more with operators and owners instead of going against them and being harsh because of a stigma.

Yeah, but considering the new laws were brought in during/after the planning/construction phases of this ride (and SV), you would like to think the State Government would be working with the parks to help them strike between the shifted goalposts, especially Aussie World, you are an innocent party in the whole thing. I have less sympathy for Dreamworld, who have created this whole shitfight.

Despite those small issues (which are expected because the park doesn't do these often), it did look like a great event and really good atmosphere. Well done to DW and glad there wasn't crazy queues like previous times.

100%. Plus given the circumstances as to why all those changes occurred. I mean some people have a fear of rides in QLD. Back on track. This will be a nice little addition to aussie world.

No over the fence shot from me but walls are starting pop up now inside Dodgems From what I saw, this maze seems not to be HOK from what I’m seeing Also I have received confirmation the other day that Warner Bros Showcase/Show Stage will not be used as an location for Fright Nights this year which I think everyone knew was happening.

That looks so good, rode the original at universal studios Japan, love what they have done with this one

We're also hearing of it a lot more in QLD because that's the main epicentre for theme parks and rides in the country.

I think you've seen it all before because every year even the 'new mazes' are just the same scares, tech, concept with a new overlay. The Overseas parks are really pushing the envelope now and evolving the product where as Movie Worlds product has kind of stagnated.
