  1. This is the level of effort put into the Tom and Jerry meet and greet area. 😂😂

  2. Yeah, it's pretty easy to visit a few German fairs at any time of the year without too much effort, they are free to enter. When I was in Cologne for Phantasialand there was one right in the city, and then the Hamburg DOM was on when I was there for Heide Park / Hansa Park. https://deutsche-volksfeste.de/volksfesttermine Overall http://www.coast2coaster.eu/ is useful, set the coaster number to between 3 and 19 to filter out all the tiny parks, and that gives you a good sense of the major ones. If you do Phantasialand, you can combine it with Movie Park Germany. If you do Efteling, well the Netherlands is small enough to do Toverland and Walibi on a long weekend. If you go to Hamburg, you can daytrip out via train to both Heide Park and Hansa Park, which are within walking distance of stations. Personally im itching to visit Energylandia because it totally seems like an unsustainable rate of investment that will either fall in a heap or be found to be corruption, so I want to visit before that lol.

  3. Will they advertise it at the start of the previews on VHS rentals?

  4. Although the term imagineer isn't an exclusive disney term, it is synonymous with Disney. WBMW is about as far from imagineering as you can get. I'm all for them fixing it up and all, but i doubt its worth the investment honestly. They can't even maintain what they have. Also, projection mapping isn't the new buzzword and it shouldn't be applied to every attraction. With few indoor spaces suitable to it, it's not really an option. Be careful what you wish for though - lest we end up with Wild West Falls Next Generation.

  5. This is actually why we can’t have nice things.

  6. I 100% agree with this.. I love Symbolica, I had the opportunity to ride that a couple of times with no-one else on the ride at all. It also has so many other awesome rides, I love Droomvlucht and Vogel Rock (it is a shame that Bob is no more). If you go... save some euro coins for the Donkey.....

  7. Make sure that if you can, visit one of their amazing funfairs (or 'Kirmes') that they have over there. Maybe your not a huge fan of carnival rides in Australia, but honestly the quality of some of those attractions is better than what you'd find at theme parks, and the atmosphere (from what I've seen) is absolutely electric! Definitely something worth checking out. Cranger Kirmes is held in Germany during the August month, and features the likes of Olympia Looping, Wilde Maus XXL and many other notable travelling rides. The other I would have a look at is the Düsseldorf fair on the Rhine which is held in Germany also during July, and also features Olympia Looping, among a range of other awesome travelling rides.

  8. Parc Asterix in Paris is awesome. You can even ride the infamous Goudrix! For something different you could try Futuroscope also in France.

  9. I would recommend Energylandia. I Haven’t been but looking at how quick they have developed the last few years & even more plans coming in the future, I feel this park will soon have the most roller coasters in the world. A hyper last year, an RMC this year & a Vekoma launched coaster just announced for next year, boy oh boy they just don’t stop pumping out rides. Not to mention the themed lands that go with them.

  11. Blackpool Pleasure Beach has a good collection of coasters, some that are historic and some quite good recent additions. The Big One is a bit of a snore fest after the first drop, but Big Dipper and The Grand National are both excellent historic woodies. Although I haven't ridden it, Icon by all accounts is an extremely good coaster and worth the trip alone. The park also has some other great attractions such as Valhalla ( one of the best dark ride /water rides in the world) and also historic attractions such Sir Hiram Maxim's Flying machines, The Ghost Train, and the River Caves . Unfortunately, when I went ( admittedly a few years ago now) they also had great historic attractions such as The Whip, The Tumblebug, Noahs Ark ( still there just a static attraction) and the much lamented Wild Mouse ( with its unique layout - quite different from LPS) Well worth a visit and I would definitely put it on the list if you are visiting the UK.

  12. PortAventura (with Ferrari Land) is beyond incredible! Shambhala is ridiculous, and Red Force is a lot of fun! Make sure you get the express pass, just makes it easier, and with the park being open until midnight in Summer, its even better! Also visit Phantasialand and Efteling (Symbolica is actually the best dark ride ive ever experienced), both stunning parks, beautifully themed with some really great attractions!

  13. But didn’t you just vomit on Push’s comments on the SV advertisement being excellent and then in your next post praise the same advertisement? But you’re right, it is someone else who vomits on all of Push’s comments.

  14. Yes, many Parkz members are planning to attend.

  15. This is exactly what has started happening from yesterday, the queue line is now inside and the preshow is playing on a loop. The switchbacks outside are now for overflow.

  17. The problem with a well themed superman queue is that train stations aren't pleasant places to be, so you can have the best themeing in the world, it'll still feel like you're somewhere you don't want to be. "Let's make the Superman queue more realistic, let's add the deep urine smell that train stations have!' Buzzsaw's original queue was car parts in an old hot crampt shed. Actually juat thinking about it, the queues at DW are all pretty ordinary. Rocky Hollow's queue has a bit of charm to it is really all that can be said. The best queue in DW is probably Pandamonium, based purely off the fact that despite having little to no themeing, it does provide good views of the ride you're about to go on and it's not as slow as something like tailspin. With MW I think most of the rides except Superman have decent enough queues. Even Green Lantern, as phoned in and in the sun as it is has the good views of the ride thing that Pandamonium has.

  18. For those worried about the Salmon colour of the RIP, rest assured that as I drove past WWW today, I noticed the paint job on RIP had been completed and it was it’s expected purple and red. #Salmongate over.

  22. I'm with you on that, but I couldn't help but notice when I saw so many of those icons on most of my recent posts, so I decided some pointless revenge was in order! Yep. Totally childish nonsense which I wouldn't otherwise think twice about.

  23. I'd love to see Movie World really invest in Wild West Falls. I know they probably won't because it's not new and all that, but unless they're planning to close it soon I think it's really worth a bit of investment. It soaks up the crowds (quite literally) and a really good experience with something new there would have a lot of guests leaving with significantly better thoughts. At the very least, fix all the effects so they work reliably and they're timed properly. Ideally add a few new surprises. Maybe animatronic. Maybe even projection mapping (and not like on SDSCNG). Potentially, with some great imagineering, they could retheme it to a well known movie with appropriate scenes, and it would be virtually a new ride.

  25. Well there you have it. Reasonable communication! I was actually about to give you a "like" but apparently I've run out of "reps" for today! I did think most of the "nauseating" icons were you as you do insult me at every opportunity, and you have for years, but seeing your last post, I'll stop throwing up all over your posts!

  27. Well for starters, any ride at Dreamworld that isnt in Dreamworks or Ocean Parade is in desperate need of some sort of a refresh or redo. Buzzsaw really needs a paint job, it is poor form having such a massive coaster right out the front of the park looking so faded. GD's queue line is in disgustingly poor condition. I know the sign was repainted but I don't know if they've touched anything else. TOT's queue is in bad shape too, but we all know that's going soon so why invest money into it. HWSW's queue was a mistake and the whole coaster really needs a paint job. Over at VRTP, GL may need a repaint sometime in the next couple years as that isn't looking great these days. And that's all I can think of for them.

  29. Who honestly thinks Superman's queue is well themed though? It's a square room with a couple signs. Wild West's queue is probably the Gold Standard in Australia. The attraction was called 'Movie Classics & Gremlins' (or something like that, doesn't really matter). Given the preshow was part of the name of the ride I would argue it's part of it.

  30. Reminds me of Lethal Weapon's Pre-Show. It was being 'locked in a room' and watching a car chase scene from one of the movies, then being address as stunt drivers and let into the short queue. Then they allowed you to walk through the video room that had the chase scene on loop if you wanted to watch it. The downside was the walkway to the station became a long queue. Also, Gremlins... was the cinema part of the 'ride', or a great pre-show?

  32. I remember when it was "do you want to go to SW or MW" because both offered a decent mix of rides that catered to everyone. I took my nephew to SW a couple days ago and he loved it because of the parks focus on families. When I took him to MW about a month ago. We left pretty early because the rides weren't that rideable for a 118cm 7 year old and he was afraid of the roaming characters.

  34. It's because they are treating all 3 parks as 1 park and it's getting Village into trouble waters.
