  1. For anyone who is doubting the trains return, I’ve had confirmation that it will be. The TOT was probably left on the drawings because at the time of their production, it was still operating and its removal had not been confirmed. These drawings were finalised back in February 2020, but the survey would’ve been done long before then.
  2. Boomerang's track has just been completed with a few bits of catwalk left to install, and not much else work has been done on the site other than the coaster and the station platform. You can see the track peeking above Coney Island, I think it will be an excellent view when we get to ride it
  3. Little nipper has been testing and we also have the coasters logo
  4. Its an interesting perspective. It’s a shame the Buzzsaw overshadows what will be a great ride.
  5. I think that would be the case because also if you look at this photo the concrete pavement looks to be less than 5 cm thick, but also in the concept art if you look closely in the second photo they look to have a platform over those areas which would hide Those slabs for boomerang
  6. Im sure it annoys the park also
  7. Quick pop in today and noticed this excavator inside the tower fence. Gonna be doing some demo I reckon.
  8. entirely depends on the demographic makeup of your group. If you are largely toddlers, young kids and low-thrill people - then you are going to Dreamworld. If you want coasters, Dreamworld isn't even a consideration.
  9. Movie world without a doubt. Dreamworld has lost so much in the recent years. Wipeout was a favourite of mine, the log flume and rapids ride were awesomely themed, and the tower of terror now!? I don’t think Steel Taipan will buy back much of the love had for these lost attractions. I’ve been on a blue fire model in Dubai, and it’s alright. Nothing on the level of a 160km/h launch up a 100m ascent. With Movie World, it’s now the rollercoaster capital (pre much the cedar point) of Australia in my eyes. You have a great variety, intamin accelerator, S&S El Loco (even though it’s down most of the time) and shot tower, and now with Dc Rivals!! Beats Mako for me over in Orlando, which was still awesome. I’m looking forward to what will be replacing Arkham Asylum (please be a B&M please be a B&M)!! My opinions are very coaster oriented, but staff is amazing at MW, DW has had some issues in the past for me with customer service, and the theming at ME really makes this park Australia’s iconic rollercoast.
  10. 1 point
There’s no doubt the long queues and low capacity suck. I don’t dispute that. I do dispute the fact that someone is purposely going through their day to try to make guests pissed off. There are valid reasons as to why these rides aren’t operating at peak capacity.
  11. Completely agree. If it was faster, you wouldn't get the hangtime. And riding on the edge seats with no track just feels different to me, almost like you're falling. Unless the wheels come off, then you may be falling but thats a separate issue. Back on topic, Channel 7 had a news report on Steel Taipans construction last night. https://www.facebook.com/7NEWSGoldCoast/posts/3832782013487125
