  1. The Dreamworld Resort already exists if you close your eyes and wish hard enough.
  2. Sent to me by a contact. Some residents aren’t to happy….
  3. Even has its own Billabong Buffett Restaurant.
  4. If they have concerns now about meeting attendance goals to make a project like that viable (even discounting the impact of covid on travel) then i'm not sure how an Olympic Games that runs for 3 weeks will change that opinion. IMO, thats the type of decision that is made AFTER an Olympics if a trend of consistent and proven increases in international and domestic tourism post-games make the country a better proposition.
  5. It's possible but i really don't see the neighbours prevailing, They chose to live there so if they have a problem they can move. Luna Park needs this coaster to boost visitation and give people something to look forward too, Something the park has been lacking for years.
  6. And they still wont have removed Arkham to make room for it
  7. Yeah I think i said similar with the last video. for the GP - its a cool little teaser showing bits and pieces amongst talking heads and an energetic background track designed to build momentum towards opening. It could have been MUCH better done in house (if you know what i mean) but it is what it is, and it isn't bad. The most important thing to remember is that enthusiasts aren't the intended audience, and once you view that with this in mind, its fine.
  8. If we're lucky, it'll have a spinning seat too.
  9. They have tried and I believe stopped. Its gone ahead and its too late. Its devalued the apartments that this photo was taken. But these were built after Luna Park so they knew what was here and involved with large attractions/noises. Its actually very quiet in the apartments when doors are closed.
  10. The park owns 1 carriage at least from the original Big Dipper. It's currently under tarps out the back but used to be on display. SUCK IT NEIGHBOURS!!!!!!!!
  11. Yeah it would be kind of cool if they had BD 1 2 and 3 lined up a the entrance (With 3 doubling as a test seat)
  12. By 2032 VRTP might have finally made that big announcement that's coming "soon"!
  13. These videos are the exact sort of "news reporting" you would see from a teens show like Totally Wild or what ever the current equivalent is these days. So great for that young teen audience who will either pester parents to go, or just turned 15 and have cash to burn from working after school jobs
  14. And whats better...they even offer half-day rates (i guess it's for when you get tired at lunch time and want a quick snooze.....) 😉😉
  15. The production isn't at a @Slicklevel but I don't think it needs to be for what they are doing here.
  16. As much as I hate seeing ride counts declining, I won't miss Buzzsaw. It was always that ride you just kind of did cause you we're at that part of the park and there was guaranteed no wait. I hope it's removal represents a departure from Dreamworld's era of cheap thrills.
  17. I think you mean 'Trident'... Unlike a steel coaster like Taipan where the control systems come with pre-fabricated bolt-on parts that simply slip into place and plug in, woodies, even though the massive structure appears complete, can still take a lot of work to place a lot of ride control components as they don't have a prefabbed hole to just slot into. And @jack.c even if that wasn't the case, its still got a lot to go until its predicted opening day around 5 months from now. (So if you're impatient now, you've got a looong road ahead!)
