  1. Interesting they've used an older photo of the ride with Thunder River still in it. I suppose it's probably the best it looked back then... https://www.usedrideseurope.com/ridesforsale/sky-loop-coaster/ 489,000 euro - or about $780,000 AUD. What a steal for a local little park (if there's nothing major actually wrong with it)
  2. I'm pretty sure the residents don't have much to stand on now in terms of complaining about Luna Park... I don't think Luna Park would have risked the investment if there was big possibility of it going the way of Big Dipper. Pretty sure they have the government on their side.
  3. 1 paid artist to oversee up to 10 volunteer students - sounds like slave labour for the students. If it were a charity event i'd be all for volunteers but as its for a paid event by a for-profit company, i find that despicable - even if they are getting valuable experience, it should still be paid work.
  4. "Catch Delta, LIVE at Dreamworld!"...is no longer an appropriate marketing slogan for musical performance.
  5. Yeah I find it hard to criticise this. We got renderings and POV at the announcement Regular construction updates. Videos showing how it gets built for a layperson. Docos with 10 min episodes like Efteling do would be cool but tbh I'm not sure if many people other than thoosies watch them. These videos are digestible. Where is all this for Leviathan?
  6. It's possible but i really don't see the neighbours prevailing, They chose to live there so if they have a problem they can move. Luna Park needs this coaster to boost visitation and give people something to look forward too, Something the park has been lacking for years.
  7. The park owns 1 carriage at least from the original Big Dipper. It's currently under tarps out the back but used to be on display. SUCK IT NEIGHBOURS!!!!!!!!
  8. Sent to me by a contact. Some residents aren’t to happy….
  9. The Dreamworld Resort already exists if you close your eyes and wish hard enough.
  10. Is it possible that because the train is classed as an amusement ride and not a railway (they aren't under the supervision of the National Rail Regulator), that they've had to change the carriages to meet the new standards? This could be due to the major changes to the 'ride' (ie track shortening, new route) preventing them from grandfathering the existing carriages under the older standards. The newer route shouldn't be as tough as the curve will be less tight even though it will still have a steepish gradient to it.
  11. Howdy folks - here's the latest nearmap overview taken last weekend - 6 days old and hot off the presses!
