  1. I think if dreamworld don’t intend on bringing a new ride onto the Murrissippi River, a bigger dark ride could fit into the area of Motocoaster if dreamworld was to properly allocate budget to hiding the show building from every angle outside RT. This could be done by planting trees and plants around the building that can hide it from all sides or area appropriate facades placed on the sides and back such as 1900s architecture on the side facing Main Street or a train yard facade to complement the Dreamworld Express and facades that match either GD or whatever themed land comes in to replace RH in the next decade or so on the back side.
  2. I love this idea but I feel this is a bigger risk than a big thrill ride simply because the investment doesn't stop at buying the ride infrastructure - you need to hire the right people to host, they need the right personality and drive, and you need enough that sick calls don't shut down the ride because you can't just swap another random ride op in to run them. A script is good but allowing your skipper's the ability to ad-lib within acceptable limits is how the attraction grows and stays fresh... Without fostering this sort of Skipper culture (which is very different to Operations generally) the attraction wouldn't be popular long term and therefore not worth the investment. Dreamworld was planned to be the Disneyland of Australia by John Longhurst - and this step would be absolutely chefs kiss if they do it right - but they have to go all in with an idea like that.
  3. Current renewal annual pass advertising also mentions “new rides and attractions” Worth noting this was reviewed recently as it features the “All Worlds Pass” branding that was introduced in December.
  4. Exactly this. If they’re going to build a dark ride they should be doing it in either rocky hollow or ocean parade. Or even better, use the big shed that was formerly laser skirmish for it.
  5. While I want to see dark ride at the park, not in the location please, its right on the water, I think the area should take advantage of that, like how Rivertown does, with the rides pushed to the back. I don't want to see a show building on the banks of the water, especially if the paddle steamer is to return someday. Just remember not only does the park have Easter Eggs to the paddle steamer, but Greg in one of the Dane podcast interview said they looked into bringing the paddle steamer back with the launch of Rivertown but instead went with the vintage cars relocation and glow up.
  6. Them saying it’s permanently closing is them saying it’s being removed. If it was being refurbished, they would’ve said that. Motocoaster is gone for good!
