  1. It’s funny watching everyone jump straight to “what are they building?” while Coast Entertainment’s first move is much less exciting and are seeing how much this approval has boosted the balance sheet, my belief is, they will answer the big question: “How much can we sell, sell, sell this land for?”

  3. r/brisbane is loosing it over this https://www.reddit.com/r/brisbane/comments/1v1x17l/bleijie_approves_removal_of_105_acres_of_koala/. Some points are quite valid and concerning, as well as straight up attacking the park However this is the first I'm hearing of 'Dreamworld allowed to spend $2.7million of tax payers money that was meant for koala research to instead build a roller coaster'. Once again quite concerning when part of their business is animal and wildlife conservation. Getting some mixed messages here
  4. I think it would work a lot better if it was relocated to the FlowRider plaza since there’s not much going on there at the moment. The area desperately needs another drawcard and something to fill the empty space. Where it is right now definitely clashes with King Claw’s theming quite a lot.
  5. We meet that criteria, still no email. In previous experience, links are not tied directly to individual passes. The current passes I have are from someone else's link because they received a better offer to their email than I could get online. Also, you wouldn't need to enter your pass barcode numbers to purchase otherwise... Would be great if someone could share the link. If we wait for Village to do it it'll be Christmas.
  6. This discussion isn't about targeting anyone. It's just something I've been thinking about for a while. I've been wondering where the happy medium is before a creator becomes an extension of a park's marketing team. (I don't believe many if any creators start out because they want to market a park) From what I've seen, one park has really embraced working with creators, and I think it's played a big role in improving public perception of that park. (just my view). Another park, on the other hand, hasn't really leaned into it, and the public perception of that park seems to have gone the other way. I'm not saying that's the only reason. The park has definitely made some decisions that haven't helped its own cause, and I completely agree with that. But I also don't think the shift from "good park" to "bad park" can't be explained in this case as purely by how the park is run. The waiting times on rides still not perfect but 100x better then what they were 2 years ago. The new show still doesn't meet my high standards but it's still better then what we had before. And don't forget Scooby is now open even though they f^&ked the disco room. ☹️ When a park is very proactive in building relationships with creators, it can be hard sometimes not to wonder where the line is. It doesn't mean anyone is doing anything wrong, but it can make you question whether opinions are completely independent or influenced by that relationship. Again, this isn't aimed at anyone in particular. What you mentioned yesterday just brought the topic back to the front of my mind. And for what it's worth, you do get a few bonus points on the Skeet Trust Board. Owning up to it instead of quietly deleting the post and pretending it never existed was the better way to handle it. You could have removed it and I'd never have known.
  7. Not naming names, but I can definitely say that some local creators do play it way too safe by focusing on positive aspects and skirting over the negatives. I found it particularly noticeable when Wizard of Oz land came out. As for my own content, I personally try to maintain my honest opinions, good or bad, saying things as I see them, even if it does potentially put me on the naughty list. I'd like to think my content hold the balance well, pointing out both sides of the coin, especially the side that stands out most on the day. This may seem contrary to the removal of my coverage of the Dreamworld trademark yesterday, I know. But that's more just being respectful and understanding to the request, and less due to the censoring of my opinions so I can keep the door open. You could say that I'm no longer inheritenty an independent voice due to this, and I guess that's true from some perspectives. One can have a fostered bias without being conscious of it. At least in my mind though, it won't stop me from critiquing the parks when they mess up!
  8. LOL, I’m not chasing the fame. I asked for Parkz to be credited. The Parkz community has always been pretty good at acknowledging sources when information comes from social media (like people on Parkz give your page credit if you are the source) . If Parkz is where the information originated, then it’s only fair that people using it as a source give credit back the same way. Keeps things fair for everyone. You’re actually one of the few who normally do give credit, so it is a bit unfair for me to lump you with the others.
  9. And It’s only fair, @Ogre , @themagician , and all the other social media scavenger birds who quietly circle these forums (some of whom never even drop a post) that if you’re going to swoop in and collect information from Parkz, at least give the source a little shout out.
  10. ^ same! I HATE this thing - it quintessentially represents a certain "Dreamworld chapter" that surely we'd all rather forget. Not to mention, has ZERO thematic cohesion to the world class efforts of King Claw. Put it in WWW & build a proper, "foot-long Hot Dog" Stand. For those of you old enough, you know I'm not talking about giant Dicks😁
  11. Not exactly the compliment i think you are going for But if you mean complete sub par performance laklustre offerings cheap budgeting and in general a total steady decline over time then yes vtp thru and thru for sure Ill just standby for the inevitable new head of entertainment announcement at the place up the road where all ex village staff end up
