  1. Wizard of Oz is timeless. if you have not seen it, your parents failed you by not introducing you to it. If despite that failure you still haven’t sought it out yourself, then you can’t be helped
  2. I see it more likely to be simple “we opening OZ in 24, nothing planned for 25 and we won’t be making big investments then, so let’s hold back Scooby for 25 so we have effectively 2 years of new offerings/excitement
  3. You really want to slow down loading even further while ride ops check the security of GoPro mounts etc? no thanks
  4. Surely it’s a working title. Wiz Kids would be a disaster of a name They could simply just call it ‘Oz’
  5. Giddy Galleon appears to also be the old Captain Caveman’s Clippers - or potentially just the same ride model
  6. Yep, good place to start, and finish. All down hill from here People would be annoyed, but so they should be when you are talking about a park makings millions of dollars a week owned and run by a company worth tens of billions, with access to basically unlimited funds, a population pool of over 250m people to hire skilled workers from, and with the manufacturers of your rides not a 20+ hour flight away, or potentially months away when parts are needed
  7. Loading. It’s bad enough to make the entire experience a no go.
  8. They’ve been doing that since at least mid-late December
  9. I wouldn’t classify SW as a regional park. if it’s a regional park, then that means Australia only has regional parks….
  10. Why feel sorry? He would have been paid for ever hour he was onsite. Delays just meant more $$
  11. Those photos could almost pass for a European park after a light snow fall.
  12. DW also has an area called Ocean Parade without even a droplet of water within it. Accurate descriptions are not their thing
  13. I won’t hear a bad word about Red Rooster. it’s a fabulous institution of culinary delights
  14. Yeah my local flight centre is $1400 flights not sure of the time period but that’s bris to LA
  15. Mate I was just reading someone broke into someone’s house last night in Coomera and all they stole was a birdcage with 2 budgies and an ashtray. these kids are cooked
  16. The way HJs pricing is going you’ll need an executive job to buy a burger soon…
  17. Well that’s changed since Christmas Eve on my last visit there where it was “this tub is for glasses only” spiel they’ve given for years. The storage area for sippers is also new, but a welcome addition “Most” people don’t have that ability Classic macho throwaway line that. The “kids” are breaking into houses they know have cameras, to get the keys to steal high end luxury cars they know have gps tracking. They’re not doing it for resale value, they are doing it simply because they can and the law refuses to punish them. There is no fear of repercussion with these kids as the extent of their forward thinking ability is about 10 seconds.
  18. At storm coaster you are only allowed to leave prescription or sun glasses. You are unable to leave phones, hats etc. if you have those with you at boarding you must take them with you - it’s been that way every time I’ve ridden in the last decade Have you not seen or heard about the rampant petty juvenile crime occurring all over the coast currently ?? I 100% would not put it past some eshay chumps to snatch and grab a bunch of devices by being first off the ride and to the tub. That would be tame and less-brazen compared to half the shit they are doing
  19. It’s not easy though. You are over simplifying. One tub with 20 phones, wallets, glasses etc just isn’t going to work. It’d be a complete mess and also see an increased in theft.
  20. Not feasible to have everyone’s phone in the one tray, that’s potentially 20 odd phones and it’s just going to slow down Ops as people try to work out whose is whose at disembark time
  21. That would be a sure fire way to not be a millionaire for much longer firstly, Byron people are in uproar when an out of towner wants to open a fast food franchise. You want to open a theme park. You have zero chance of getting the land required zoned for what you require. If you found land, you’d be bankrupted by the drawn out development and approval process as thousands of locals object to the application. If you by a miraculous chance managed to get the park built you’ve then got the issue of attendance with most of the locals against it, and the nearest population centre already serviced by established theme parks meaning unless you had something significantly better to offer, they wouldn’t make the trek down. Byron is exceedingly expensive and accommodation options limited which makes short stays expensive and less attractive than going to the GC.
  22. Just a full roll out after the soft launch a couple of months back.
