New Kids Ride at Movie World - April 2023
REGIE replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Yep that’s what I was referring too -
Seems weird on paper but there is probably a lot more complications to maintaining and keeping a wooden WM up to safety standards. My guess to why they removed it is AW wasn’t doing so good and couldn’t spend the money on it. It might have needed something major. But still I really wish they kept it. what I do not understand is why the hell did they replace it with another mouse… so many better options for a similar price tag surely. Like a ZDT’s switchback clone. But I guess that means they have to upkeep a wooden coaster again which obviously they don’t want to do. But even a Vekoma family coaster would have been good.

You will end up at the Coomera motor inn if ya do that. Google maps always manages to be 3 or so blocks off.

He’s on northern hemisphere time

Wild mouse is still closed. I haven’t seen many people cover it in videos or anyone show them doing much work on it at all. I decided to contact the park just in case they had new information. They didn’t give me much but this makes me think it might be getting a retrack.

I am surprised dreamworld doesn’t have an app yet. Their advertising campaign would probably be something like “world tallest news rolling and coasting in soon” to be an app….

The sound track makes SE imo.

New Kids Ride at Movie World - April 2023

Would be sick if they gave it differently light Color’s for the night events -
Dreamworld’s Ocean Parade Expansion 2023
REGIE replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Love to see some fins added to the carts in the future and maybe some fake plants around the blue post thing -
That would be sick. To bad there’s not enough room now i think what ever it is it shouldn’t be a roller coaster. They need a good dark ride or indoor themed flat ride. I haven’t been on basically any dark rides so I got no idea what makes a good one.

Oh a rewards program is really disappointing . Village did the same and we thought it was an announcement for a new ride.
-
Why? Because that ride needs as much time as it can get. It’s so unreliable maybe they have finally decided to fix it properly
-
I mean it’s still fairly significant for Aussie world. Not everything can be ground up RMC hypers. A drop tower would be fun at AW. Air race and areobat look interesting too. I am surprised they are investing in new rides so soon. And thril rides! Hopefully it’s like hairraiser at Luna park but taller!

Super Nintendo World - USH (spoilers)
REGIE replied to Dean Barnett's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Yeah you’re right. It’s just naturally really popular right now. In 5 years or so the crowds should be more reasonable -
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind - Spoilers

Audio adds so much to rides. It can even make fairly average carnival rides super fun. I especially like the audio in SE’s dark ride bit. It’s not music but it makes the rides somewhat. When I hear it I am reminded of how much fun SE really is. (Still 4th for me) -
I think the sky coaster and top golf net thing take away from the skyline of WNW and MW. Top golf is here to stay but if the sky coaster isn’t operating I hope they sell it or remove it.

Super Nintendo World - USH (spoilers)
REGIE replied to Dean Barnett's topic in Theme Park Discussion
The amount of people everywhere in Super Nintendo world definitely makes it less appealing to me. Kinda takes away from the immersion of the area. But the theming looks to be amazing. Maybe the area needs a maximum capacity rule ? I can see that making people just as angry as long wait times though -
Tower of Terror and vertical forces - physics debate
REGIE replied to New display name's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Most the strain would be put on the bolts that connect the drop track to the tower while the rest of the strain would be put on the foundations of the tower I believe?- 12 replies

I agree it’s cool to really see just how much knowledge some of the people on this forum really have. I am right into the engineering and physics side of roller coasters (mostly because I realise I am never going to be able to ride hundreds of roller coasters so the next best thing is to research the ride them selfs VS the experience.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind - Spoilers
REGIE replied to Dean Barnett's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I guess that’s why MW and SW’s one shot are more expensive to stop it from selling out. (On peak somehow it still sells out). If Fast pass is affordable it wouldn’t work because everyone would have it. speaking of wait times how long were most the stand by lines? Loading quick? -
Well I learned a lot more about physics ha . One question though why would the letters need to be connected to a sail type add on? Couldn’t they just be bolted on like they are in the front but on the tot track side? It would only be visible from one side of the road though.
