  1. This time we will be doing two polls. Also due to the WoO Boomerang not being open, you can compare it to POVs of Tweestyrd as well as the theming on the concept art. Vote by Saturday.
  2. In my opinion you can't compare MW to Disney. In my personal opinion, I see it as a combination of Universal/Six Flags. The general vibe seems closer to Universal than Disney, and the attractions seem similar to Six Flags, as well as the WB characters. Some examples are that main street/the park layout look similar to Universal (Hollywood in particular) while DCR and JL look like something out of Six Flags (Justice League: Battle from Metropolis at multiple SF parks was based of JL: Alien Invasion at MW IIRC)
  3. Seems like you had an alright time. Yes at Gumbuya World Project Zero always closes at 10-11am and 2-3pm due to maintenance, maybe something to do with Buzzsaw's unreliability? Unfortunately for you TNT broke down but at least you got a go. It is most intense at the back IMO, when it comes to MW people will find it is very thrilling for a family coaster. And also as you said, the waterslides are more popular than the rides. IMO I feel like TNT is the most popular land ride, followed by Project Zero, Tree Swing and Mining Race Coaster. The queues are very short on Rebel and Rush Hour, on the latter I had to wait 10 minutes for others to get on as I was the only one in line. Buzzsaw is in a great home now where it actually gets queues now TBH.
  4. A bit hard to tell as most of the kids attractions are done by Zamperla. Basically all the kids attractions except coasters and carousels are done by Zamperla.
  5. I have figured out the clues and I think I know who the manufacturer of the wave swinger is. It is Zamperla! I am guessing it because: Greg Yong said the swinger is being manufactured in Italy, where Zamperla is Big Red Boat and Big Red Plane are being manufactured by Zamperla Zamperla make wave swingers that look like the one in the concept art It seems to me that Movie World, Sea World and Dreamworld love Zamperla for their kids rides. Basically nearly all the kids rides except carousels/coasters are done by them.
  6. It was a tough one (35-35 at some point) but Superman Escape escaped the earthquake unlike the Steel Taipan (46-38), so Superman is added to the list while Steel Taipan is made into scrap metal. TNT Big Dipper III Superman Escape The next poll will be a 3-voter with one option due to there being 3 wild mouses. The battle will be Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster vs. Wild Mouse vs. Dingo Racer. Place your votes in by Wednesday. Vote here:
  7. Time to pick the fourth coaster in the list. This time there will be 3 options due to their being over 2 wild mouse coasters in Australia. Please note: this does not count the Crazy Spinning Coaster in carnivals, only permanent versions. Remember to put votes in by Wednesday.
  8. Voting is now closed. Anymore votes will not count. (Accidentally didn't make it close automatically)
  9. Now we are Sixty eight votes in and it is still 50/50! Will be interesting if we see a tie.
  10. Yup, now 60 votes and 30-30. This is one of the toughest choices in the community IMO.
  11. Nah Daddy Pig GigaCoaster, the first gigacoaster in the southern hemisphere and the world's most iconic coaster.
  12. In my opinion I love the idea of a Wizard of Oz themed land. It's a timeless classic watched by many generations and people still love it today. And it is also a break from DC themed lands (thank god). The theming also looks 100 times better than Arkham Asylum and will be one of the best themed lands of the park with Wild West Falls also close.
  13. And boom. Big Dipper wins against Abyss with 17-13, which means the latter is turned into scrap metal and the former is added to the list. 1. TNT 2. Big Dipper The next votes will be Superman Escape vs Steel Taipan. You have until Saturday to vote. Vote here:
  14. Time for round two, this time it will be Superman Escape vs. Steel Taipan. Put your votes in by Saturday.
  15. From Jagg's Journey's latest video, there are markings leading up to RR's entrance which show a bigger queue: I think it is good IMO. I remember Road Runner's queue extending down past the trees when I was there in August so will help to make a longer official queue area.
  16. And the results have came in. EFM/KFF gets exploded by the TNT with 7-0! This means that TNT will be the first ride added to the list. 1. TNT We will also be making some minor rule changes, thanks to @DaptoFunlandGuy and @REGIE. We will now be shortening the vote time to 3 days, and the voting will take place in a seperate thread. All the all-stars will be published in this thread. Vote here:
  17. As some members have suggested, we will make the voting in seperate threads. This week will be Big Dipper v. Abyss. You have until Tuesday to vote.
  18. What a strange park! Doesn't seem like a traditional one but a different one with a strange, different type of rides.
  19. Must be really big if closed for 2 years. That is a long time to keep the ride closed IMO. It will be sad if I can't ride it in 2025 (planning to go in January) but at least I have got the credit in 2022.
  20. Not too sure. Project Zero at Gumbuya is considered a new credit but that may be because the ride was fully refurbished with a new colour and theme. Also that it was relocated 1,000 km not 900m. Maybe up to RCDB?
  21. I agree, would've been good for a "Superman vs. Batman" kind of thing. I feel like there could be a better place Surfrider is relocated (WoO would be great) but I guess it is all but confirmed it will go there.
  22. Lets take a quick look at the scores and what I can say is ouch for EFM/KFF. 6-0 for TNT. I am putting bets on TNT winning and KFF turned into paperclips. Remember you have until Thursday to vote. Some advice: You will really enjoy MW's clone of TNT when it comes in 2024, it is very fast and intense for a family coaster and even goes on a 90 degree coming out of the tunnel, in which even DCR and Superman don't go above that at all. I would recommend not skipping it as it is awesome.
  23. At least there will be a lot of new attractions coming through the next 2 years that will help the capacity. IIRC Last September at one point DCR, GL, JF, WWF, Looney Carousel, Scooby and Looney Splash Zone were closed which is nearly half of the park's rides.
  24. Yes please. It could also pave the way for other old wild mouses to be converted, as well as ground up hybrid mouses.
  25. Something that can be noted is that Movie World was "good enough" to inspire other parks to make attractions similar to the ones here. For example: Gremlins Adventure was also made at Movie Park Germany Main Street at Movie Park Germany is based off Main Street here Looney Tunes River Ride was recreated at Movie Park Germany Batman Adventure The Ride was recreated at Movie Park Germany/Parque Warner Madrid Police Academy Stunt Show was recreated at Six Flags Magic Mountain/Movie Park Germany/Parque Warner Madrid Wild Wild West was recreated as Rio Bravo at Parque Warner Madrid Movie Park Germany/Parque Warner Madrid were originally named Warner Bros. Movie World So other parks around the world must have taken note of us. Yes I know they don't now but it shows how we can be spotted on the international map, even know not as much as Disney/Universal.
