Aussie rides in the GWR 2005

Featured Replies

Hey guyz....I just bought the 2005 issue of the Guiness book of world records and nice to know that the Giant Drop is the tallest free fall in the world and luna park's (melbourne) roller coaster...forgot what it was called was in there as the oldest continually operating roller coaster!

On the plus-side, it's one of the few rides out there that made Bush Beast look smooth. Good to see our parks getting the recognition they deserve, even if it is just a few years late.

Aparrently there was another freefall somewhere else(forget which one)that may have been higher, but GD's still king of that castle. :D

It made me wonder why drop zone kept making it in in recent years even though GD was taller. BTW, does TOT still have its speed record certificate on display out the front of the ride, i really wanna get a sticker that says "Void" or "Kingda Ka was here" and whack it on.

Apparently the taller giant drop is in Canada somewhere and is higher by about 15ft or something

The actual height of the canadian tower (from memory actually at a Sea World somewhere)is technically bigger due to the fact that it is made on a hill (just like STE *shakes fist*). But our drop height is still bigger, which is all that really counts.

(just like STE *shakes fist*).
well you will be shaking that fist even more about TOT this time next year.
:P Or maybe I need to come up there and start getting people drunk again LOL

^so im guessing you know Flea :) please keep it on the downlow as its more fun watching people who dont know. P.S PM so I can see how close you are ;)
